Hoy les vengo a enseñar cómo pueden practicar lettering usando HBD en Cumaná 🤭

Mi emprendimiento: Poeticabyg, es una tienda online de materiales de arte. Nació en el 2021 a raíz de mi necesidad de conseguir marcadores, lápices, pintura y todo lo necesario para practicar lettering y decorar mi bullet journal. Está historia es un poco más larga y prometo contarla más adelante🤭

Al iniciar con Poética, me encontré con muchos artistas cumaneses que como yo querían encontrar variedad y buenos precios en materiales de arte. Eso me dió mucha felicidad. También me encontré con muchas personas que quieren aprender a hacer lettering.

When I started Poética, I met many artists from Cumaná who, like me, wanted to find variety and good prices on art materials. That gave me a lot of happiness. I also met many people who want to learn how to do lettering.

Para quien no conozca el lettering, es el arte de dibujar letras. No es solo caligrafía bonita ni estaríamos hablando solamente de tipografías como las que encuentras en las PC, estamos hablar de dibujar letras únicas y creativas, ya sea a mano o de forma digital.

For those who don't know lettering, it is the art of drawing letters. It's not just beautiful calligraphy nor would we be talking only about fonts like the ones you find on PCs, we are talking about drawing unique and creative letters, either by hand or digitally.

El lettering es parte importante de mi vida. Se ha convertido en mi forma de expresarme y relajarme. Lo he tomado como arte terapia y me ha ayudado mucho, es la forma más bonita que tengo de decirme las cosas. El lettering tiene múltiples beneficios como ayudar a calmar la ansiedad, te permite explorar tu creatividad, es una forma de practicar mindfullness, es decir, sirve para traerte al ahora.

Lettering is an important part of my life. It has become my way of expressing myself and relaxing. I have taken it as art therapy and it has helped me a lot, it is the most beautiful way I have to tell myself things. Lettering has multiple benefits such as helping to calm anxiety, it allows you to explore your creativity, it is a way to practice mindfulness, that is, it brings you to the now.

¿Dictar talleres de lettering? No lo había pensado, aunque era una solicitud constante que me hacían. Yo solo quería practicar y seguir aprendiendo. Pero el hecho de saber que habían más personas interesadas en aprender, y yo soy el tipo de persona que le gusta compartir mis conocimientos, eso me hizo considerarlo. Aunque admito que la idea me generaba miedo, pero mis ganas eran más.

Give lettering workshops? I hadn't thought about it, although it was a constant request. I just wanted to practice and keep learning. But knowing that there were more people interested in learning, and I am the kind of person who likes to share my knowledge. Although I admit that the idea generated fear in me, but my desire was more.

Decidí formarme y gracias a mi Beyoncé Cumanesa, que me apoyo para que iniciara, logré dar mi primer taller en agosto del 2022. Fue una experiencia hermosa enseñar a niños con edades entre 8 y 12 años. Niños talentosos y muy creativos. A partir de ahí, también emprendí con talleres para adultos, como yo, que tuvieran la necesidad de relajarse haciendo lettering.

I decided to train myself and thanks to my Beyoncé Cumanesa, who supported me to get started, I was able to give my first workshop in August 2022. It was a beautiful experience teaching children between 8 and 12 years old. Talented and very creative children. From there, I also started with workshops for adults, like me, who had the need to relax doing lettering.

Y aquí estoy hoy, programando talleres con distintas tématicas para enseñar técnicas de lettering. Hasta ahora tengo uno para practicarlo a traves del agradecimiento, una lettering party con motivo de fiesta de cumpleaños (sí, con su respectivo cotillón y rifas🎁) y proximamente uno para adultos con tinto de verano🍷.

And here I am today, programming workshops with different thematics to teach lettering techniques. So far I have one to practice it through gratitude, a lettering party for a birthday party (yes, with its respective cotillion and raffles🎁) and soon one for adults with summer red🍷.

Realizar este tipo de actividades en mi ciudad Cumaná me llena de alegría, es el tipo de actividades que me gustaría ver más a menudo y con otras disciplinas. El simple hecho de abrir espacios donde puedas practicar artes, explorar tu creatividad, tener nuevas experiencias que te permitan relajarte, dejar a un lado tus problemas, expresarte y ser tu mismo es algo importante para mí y más si puedo compartirlo con otros💜.

Doing this kind of activities in my city Cumaná fills me with joy, it is the kind of activities that I would like to see more often and with other disciplines. The simple fact of opening spaces where you can practice arts, explore your creativity, have new experiences that allow you to relax, leave your problems aside, express yourself and be yourself is something important to me and more if I can share it with others💜.
