Powered Up Another 1,000 HIVE for HPUD... Change in Strategy...
For a good while already, @ph1102, @mypathtofire, @achim03, I and maybe others who "joined" and may want to carry on, pushed each other to power up at least 1k HIVE every 1st of the month. We are the 1k+ Power Up Club. 😀
I powered up another 1k today, and reached 36,905 HP (total), which is 1,346 HP more than at last month's HPUD.
Regretfully, I will suspend my activity on the 1k+ Power Up Club from next month forward, for a good amount of time.
I had planned to do this from the beginning of next year, but something changed and I reached the conclusion I'd better not push it for another 1k power up on the next HPUD.
Otherwise, I will continue to go after the PUM challenge every month (I made it this month for the 3rd time in a row) and I will power up something on every HPUD, just not 1k.
I have a plan that extends throughout the bull market but I'll talk more about it next year with my 2024 Hive goals. And that doesn't involve powering up 1k HIVE every HPUD. It doesn't involve powering down my main staking account either.
Given the potentially continued bull run, I may be in the position to complete my HP+HBD in savings main goal at the end of the year, which I didn't think possible not so long ago. If the bull run stops and we enter another long consolidation phase, or worse, goes back to previous levels (unlikely, in my opinion), that goal is history and I'll have to live with it and the fact I had set a poor goal for my main target on Hive.
But for the first situation, which is also the most likely one, I want to be prepared for a final push too, if I'll have to. Meaning that I will power up more HIVE throughout, or more likely toward the end of December, if the situation requires it and I'm on edge and I can help push it over the milestone and final target.

It's a joke between us. We are members because we power(ed) up 1k HIVE monthly on HPUD.
When you have a small account you can grow quicker percentage-wise than a big account.

Hmmmm good question... I held through the last cycle, thinking it will always work out over the long term. So I sat through the entire rollercoaster.. Seeing BTC, ETH, DOGE, etc hit all the time highs before they come crashing down.. So one of my "lessons learnt" from that experience was to just take some profit.. Maybe when BTC reaches 100k or smth. Haha!

Thanks. I hope so too, but my goal is unfortunately too dependent on price movements this year, which was a mistake that I thought wouldn't affect my progress, but it did.

Happy HPUD and nice 1k power-up. I did power up today but it was only 10 Hive today. My HP goal is on track.
Nice to read "My HP goal is on track.". Last year I pushed it hard, but I eventually made it. This year the goal's progress is all over the place, but I might eventually make it due to the bull run.

This is interesting, and thank you for sharing your strategy. I am curious to learn more about the reason for this change. I am unable to get as much HP as you guys, but I want to have options on what to do with mine.
I simply want to keep as much of it liquid going forward. Why the sudden stop instead of at the end of the year? It has to do with my delegation to Holozing, which blocked a good chunk of my HP on the posting account instead of powering it down.

Thanks. Yep, that was my plan too, to continue in December as well. But it may be an unjustified effort for one day, and if I can complete my goal with less HIVE powered up, I'd rather keep it liquid, maybe in some diesel pools, so I can easily swap to HBD later in the bull market.
