Get Ready For December!

avatar

Some people love December because of Christmas and the holidays spirit. And that's ok! I like flashing lights in the evenings too. Maybe a little snow too, to feel like winter.

And who knows, I might even share some lights with you one of these days. But don't hold your breath! I'll only do that if our semi-planned one-day trip will materialize. What I'm looking forward to though is a few days off the internet, Hive, and crypto, generally, around Christmas, when we'll be away and I plan to briefly break my daily posting streak then too, after more than a year and a half. I was about time, lol.

Tomorrow is the 1st of December and, as usual, HPUD is coming. I will make the minimum 10 HIVE powerup tomorrow, to continue to participate, but another streak that I break is my 1k powerups on HPUDs, as I already announced on my November HPUD.

Something else that I guess is to be expected soon is the first payments for LeoAds revenue for stakeholders and evergreen content. Unless we might have some delays due to changing of the advertising network used.

Although not a certainty, given that Binance is still in the crossfires (about to be banned in the Philippines too), we may have a strong December on the crypto markets - at least in the first part - because we already had a pullback in the second part of November and signs are bitcoin keeps testing the highs on higher lows. Although not a classic triangle TA formation, I see bitcoin breaking to the upside in the next few days, unless we have more FUD.

Alts are lagging, as they often do, but that shouldn't surprise anyone, nor should make someone lose trust because of the gap in the price increases for different projects have during the bull market. If that is corroborated with fundamental reasons, then yes, but not because of other projects pumping while yours isn't.

I know one of the worst mistakes is jumping from one project to another based on different pumping phases. That will, in most cases, make you lose all or most pumps. Pure gambling...

December is also the last month of the year. For those of us with Hive (or other) goals, it's a moment of truth.

Mine don't look as promising as they looked last year at this time, which means, among other things, that I made some mistakes that hopefully I won't repeat next year. But there's still a month to see what goals still have a chance to be completed and what can I salvage on the Splinterlands front when it comes to my goals...

What are you looking for in December?

I hope Hive finally makes some real moves to the upside. It's been lagging so far.

HIVE has a pretty strong resistance at 38-39 cents, which it didn't break on the first try. Now it moved to the previous support (35 cents), and I think, if the market goes on a rally again, this time it will break it, and probably move into the 40-50 cents range for a while unless the rally is very sustained, in which case, we might see it stabilize higher.

Yes well said, the 40c resistance must break at some point.

We'll see. There is strong selling too. I bet some are doing it just to capitalize on Bitcoin's momentum and will later return to Hive.

As you said, the 39c Hive resistance held again and price is dipping once more. It feels deflating to see while other tokens gain significantly.

I don’t think there is someone who does not like December or let me say I have not met someone like that
December is full of celebrations. I hope BTC reaches a new ATH this time

I met people who don't like December, precisely because of the celebrations or the extra spending they have to make.

Bitcoin won't reach an ATH (all-time high) this December, for sure, but it is quite probable it will have a new high for this year.

Whatever time it is, all I want is for BTC to pump, lol
Why don’t they like December?
Expenses?

Expenses?

Some don't like it because of expenses, and others are allergic to the generalized cheerfulness. Just being grumpy, I guess. Others don't like it because they no longer have anyone to share holidays with, and this period of the year is hard on them.

looks a bit scary since it could drop quite a bit. We'll see soon I guess :)

Hmm, yes, if it breaks to the downside, we are up to some bad Christmas days, lol. But hopefully, the early bull market logic is in play and, we are still far from any major pullbacks.

I also like december due to its evening lights+ cold winds + holidays.

I don't like cold winds... But I guess it depends on what "cold" and "winds" mean in different parts of the world. Around here, when you have winds in the winter, it's definitely not something pleasant.

I am busy with work lately so I haven't been looking for anything in December. Either way, I still think the crypto market is looking decent. At least, we haven't gone down like the bear market.

Man, you've been working hard these past few months!

Yep, luckily, crypto still follows the well-known cycle, so we should be looking for good things in the medium term. Short term, there will be variations, which we might get right or not, but the medium-long term is what matters.

Definitely looking forward to Christmas and to also slow down a little to catch up on rest.

Oh yeah, I think most people love this period because they get a little break from their daily routines and potentially meet friends and family and catch up with them. Rest... remains to see. If we are lucky, lol.

This month is special for many reasons, here it snows during these days and people enjoy a lot and decorate it a lot for this event.

Yep, December is often like that, at least for us in the northern hemisphere.

Higher lows are usually a good sign. It would be nice if it can break that 38k resistance. The Binance issue in the Philippines is a bit concerning. I'm hoping they can find a solution for it since I know a lot of Filipinos use Binance.

I think they have a few other big local exchanges too, besides whatever else is available internationally. But the concern is about the contagion effect for Binance, meaning getting the same kind of treatment throughout many places of the world as in the US. If that happens, they are screwed.

I think it would be interesting how we close out the year in terms of market movements, hopefully no FUDs in December :)

The signs are for a good start of the month, at least. Thanks for your comment!
