PEPTEvent #TooFuckeh #9 Know when to cut your losses.

Before I get into specifics on my experience with #buds token, I need to update you with our #PEPTEvent and #TooFuckeh token.

This PEPTEvent is identified as #9 and going forward it will be incremented by one regardless of the event subject matter. I was thinking of a series regarding News and maybe a series regarding specific issues around Hive product and services and say, PEPT related products and services that need to improve. Now all problems/issues that need attention will be identified by a unique identifier in the format of #PEPTEvent #???? - {title}

Now about the HashKing Cannabis growing game.

Around June-July I had figured out a way to generate a consistent crop that generated enough BUDS to make it worth my time to play and earn. That all changed one day when I tried to log in my account and got the following message.

I tried again just before creating this blog and it's the same message. I need to Pay to Play. It is no longer Play to Earn. I am ok to pay for items that can enhance my play but this is not the same. In fact, I paid to buy plots and a Water Tower and they became stranded assets. After a few weeks I stopped earning HKWATER tokens so I could no longer earn from the game. I could not justify the expense of a King Pass. So I decided to continue to follow the token market value and after a few trades I confirmed it was no longer a worthwhile token to hold.

I think you are generous, FJ. But never too generous! 😉😀

I'm struggling to understand how the token is the product. Actually, struggling is the wrong word. Because I'm happy to accept that I don't fully appreciate the nuances of tokenomics. Or even some fundamentals. But I'm happy to keep slowly learning a bit more each week.

It is all about one's mindset and ability to adjust to a different mindset as needed. Like being spatially aware, ie object oriented. Different thought processes than procedural knowledge.

I am still exploring some reading so in time I will provide more information as it relates to our PEPT journey.

For example, our #PEPTide token is pegged at one SWAP.Hive with no expectation of it being a trading token. It is a value added token. The ide part stands for Integrated Development Environment. For example, when we use the different editors available on the various frontend blogging apps, we notice that some are more intuitive and more productive and others. That is value added and helps with user retention. Similarly, by using #PEPTide as a booster for getting rewarded on or off Hive, the expectation is to increase user retention and loyalty or at the very least, a more effective and efficient use of ones online activity.

Thanks FJ. I guess it doesn't really matter if I view PEPTide as a product or as an enabler. Increasing retention and loyalty is what matters.

In other news, I hear Hivebits could be back
Now, I know this isn't the intention, but let's see if we can both share in the good news…
