As CTP price continues its decline, new opportunities unfold.

Why would anyone want to earn, buy and hold CTP tokens?

Well, I cannot speak for someone else but let me tell you how I have played and continue to play with this declining asset.

When I started on Hive in March 2023, CTP was selling above 0.015 SWAPE.HIVE and today you can buy it for 0.0011 SWAPE.HIVE

That means #CTP Annual Equivalent Rate (AER) is -123.56%

That is not impressive but wait, there is more to the story. You see, Jon @jongolson was generous in giving out CTP tokens to those who used #CTPX Content Delivery site. Now the #PEPT philosophy is to Learn Before You Earn. I believe it and I demonstrate it. Let's take a closer look.

First, you may use the following link to join me on CTPX
https://ctpx.io/?ref=fjworld

I upgraded on the site to leverage my time and thus boost my returns.

As you can see from the following snippet, I am a serious online earner.

The hourly rewards have declined so that had a negative impact on my returns. It means I am less likely to renew my upgrade but a lot can happen between now and June 2024. When you are a regular user of a system, and your condition to learn and not just blindly click your time away you see patterns that are repeatable. For example, the CTPX team will buy CTP tokens from the market to reward active clickers. When they buy, they drive the token price up and that creates a reliable short term capital gain. I have used this strategy to my advantage but I am not as masterful as @masterlamps !LOL Also, when you advertise on CTPX and used the CTP tag you received a lot of upvotes. Well, I use to but not anymore. I suspect it may be in response to some of my feedback. It's just another lesson learned.

While generating some short term capital gain, I also accumulated and staked over 30,000 CTP tokens and I actively promoted via CTPTalk tribe for author and curator rewards. So it is not just about the current price of a token but more about trendlines, strategies and tactics. And of course, knowing the vision and mission behind a token. In this case, I see the CTP founder more focused on earning, buying and powering up #Hive and #LEO tokens.

So what is the current strategy with CTP tokens.

Well, first we accumulate at low prices, stake and then delegate. I have delegated 10,000 to lolz.ctp and I am accumulating to stake another 10,000 tokens. So even if I cannot generate capital gain I can use accumulated earnings to invest in another token that is more likely to deliver higher returns for my time and effort.

If you comment on this blog, our #PEPT Banker account will send you 1,000 #TooFuckeh tokens if you hold one(1) #PEPTide token or more. In fact, you can receive 1,000 TooFuckeh tokens for every PEPTide held up to a limited of 10,000 TooFuckeh tokens.

If you have CTP tokens and your interested in a swap as oppose to selling on the open market, let me know. No sense of accumulating a stranded asset. I am all for creating a mutual benefit and managing risks.

#LUV and positive energy to all

Accumulating at low prices and then delegating is a good way to maximize your profits. If you can use your accumulated profits to invest in other tokens with higher returns, you can definitely increase your profits in the future.
Good luck with your investments!

Thank you and I appreciate the continued support and willingness to be part of something different. Your feedback and sharing has had a positive impact on many of the strategies that I have already implemented.

@edgerik! You Are Alive so I just staked 0.1 $ALIVE to your account on behalf of @ fjworld. (1/10)

The tip has been paid for by the We Are Alive Tribe through the earnings on @alive.chat, feel free to swing by our daily chat any time you want, plus you can win Hive Power (2x 50 HP) and Alive Power (2x 500 AP) delegations (4 weeks), and Ecency Points (4x 50 EP), in our chat every day.

I was first attracted to CTPX as a content discovery platform. With the bonus of tokens, as I discovered new, interesting writers. And that paid off to some extent. But I was always concerned about the poor ratio of high:low quality content. Another aspect that I enjoyed was tipping via the robot command. All of which, contributed to a strong community feel.

But my enthusiasm has dwindled. And now, like you, FJ, I retain CTP tokens as a passive income generator. Though, my delegation is to @dhedge.ctp. And, quite insignificant!

I think it's great that you have re-evaluated your usage of CTP tribe, CTP tokens and CTPX Manual Traffic Exchange site, I mean Content Delivery Platform. !LOL

A lot of people do not follow continuous improvement practices. At one time, my employer paid me to go to many weekly training courses where I would bring back knowledge and build expertise to reduce waste in our operation and to exploit new technologies. It was all personal development to me cause I knew I would apply the new knowledge to everything I do. And still do, 43+ years later. Interestingly, the areas of concerns today are the same as it was over 40 years ago and it will continue that way as long as people are involved in the process.

I have a saying that goes like this..Go Big or Stay Home. That is what I am doing with PEPT.

Now CTP and all it represents is a small component but a very important one just the same. For example, initially I was excited about sharing content on CTPTalk and generating a revenue stream based on my time and content. As I got more familiar with many tribes, frontends and token valuation I realized that Hivers spoke well of the platform but for the most part, they did/do the same mistakes on Hive as they would outside of Hive. Or they try and make Hive a better Web2 platform. Or they have bad habits and not ready to change. Or, they lack the foundational skills required to make an improvement in the first place. All these observations are extremely valuable. The challenge is to extract the value to drive something more productive.

I do not find the default tribe frontend very intuitive and often the usage is counter-productive. Some are better supported and offer good engagement. Many get their traffic from Hivers using a different frontend and taking advantage of tagging. So from this experience, I do not see the value in spending BEE to create a Hive tribe but I do see great potential in building a Hive community. Not suggesting Hive app is a problem as much as realizing the importance of converting an idea to a well implemented and supported service for Hivers.

Thanks again for the engagement. It really does make a positive difference on how to prepare for what's to come in our traffic exchanging journey !LUV

Absolutely agree! But it's really not necessary with the work that 3speak and Ecency are doing with their breakaway front end. And I notice from Ecency's latest proposal that they plan to invest more in that project. Even now, you can deploy a community site to Cloudflare Pages in minutes at zero cost. So let me know if you want me to set up a demo (I check https://chat.peakd.com/ most days).

I do see great potential in building a Hive community.

Again, I absolutely agree. Because I believe that Hive communities are the foundation that drives the whole platform forward. But the platform isn't really marketable. Whereas, good communities almost sell themselves.

Personally, I currently lack the required drive and commitment to build my own community. Even taking an admin role in a community is beyond the limitations of my anxiety. So I do what I can, when I can. And Project ePay Traffic is one of my first ports of call on days that I use Hive. Because I thoroughly enjoy your continuous improvement approach.
