What a Gift it would be... Chapter 6

Hello Everyone, i hope you are well. Today marks the fifth consecutive day of me posting another silver coin. This is actually a challenge/initiative that came out from @silverd510 and the gist is to create 12 consecutive posts about silver coins that you would like to receive as a present for Christmas.

Greek Mythology, Japanese culture, Great Britain, it's now time to travel all the way to China and its Panda silver coins. Apparently, the Chinese Silver Panda is one of the best-selling silver coins in the world. These coins were released in 1983 but from what i read until 1989 these coins were out only as proof coins.

This is a colorized version that depicts 2 pandas playing and a ship in the back. The value is 10 Yuan and is fully backed by the Chinese government. It's also 30 grams of .999 silver purity. The coins cost is around 54$-57$.

The back side of the coin includes the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests which is located in the Temple of Heaven Complex. Fun fact, i have actually visited this monument and it's quite amazing and it's way bigger than you can think of.

This design is a bit of a rabbit hole. They've done at least 7 or 8 other variations that I've seen, including Pandas in space. 😆

That said, it's still a great coin.

ohh i didn't know about that, searched for the Pandas in Space one, looked like they had eaten some special mushrooms before that variation :P
