Dungeon Odyssey Manhwa Review

Yesterday a Manhwa title caught my eye. I decided to check it out and have already read 1/3 of it. It's quite decent to tell you the truth but not something freaking amazing though. This was originally a novel from what i understand and the came the Manhwa from another artist.

So far there are 69 chapters out there and i have read 20+. Basically, the story is the following, there is Earth as we know it but there also dungeons as well like we are used to in other manga/anime. The difference here is that some descendants of humans were born inside the dungeons and raised by monsters.

These kids are known as dungeon babies due to dungeon circumstances and the monster milk they drank obtained some special powers like advanced strength, durability and so on. After some events, the kids basically got out of the dungeons and as orphans were given to families to raise them.

Also, due to their power level, they can go on "adventures" inside the dungeons along with other humans to basically kill monsters and obtain gems that have real value. The protagonist Kim Jinwoo is one kid like that who now seems to be a teen and is part of a nice loving family.

While in a dungeon a labyrinth-like door opens with a shape of a snake and he basically becomes the owner of the Naga labyrinth. Turns out it is a game-like system where you have your own Labyrinth, of faction if you wish inside the dungeon and the player is responsible for growing the faction or not.

In order to do that he needs to spend gems to upgrade the labyrinth and then he can create new buildings, new areas, new troops and so on. As the labyrinth grows inside the dungeon more and more factions/monsters/humans may discover and go after it! So basically it's a battle of who will become the king of labyrinth let's say.

Overall, even though the art is a bit mediocre compared to what i have read it's still quite decent. The upgrade system, the troops and in general the leveling is quite fun to tell you the truth and the reason i keep on reading without frustration. What's more important is that the main protagonist isn't OP like in many other anime or manga and that makes everything a bit more challenging and provides the reader with the feeling of anticipation of what's gonna happen next.

Ofc there are greater options out there but if have nothing new to watch or read i think it would be worth your time. If ofc you have other options i would suggest saving it for the time you will run out of your top choices or in general you will have free time!
