Gratitude: Count it.

There is a song my dad used to sing to us, and it’s a popular one at that.

Count your blessing. Name them one by one, count your blessings, and see what God has done. Count your blessings, name them one by one, and it will surprise you what the Lord has done.

My big sis, dad, mom and Fash

Hi everyone, my name is Fashtioluwa. I'm a sweet being with an amazing personality, and I’m welcoming you to my blog.

Gratitude: Count it.

One thing I’ve learned to be grateful for is the life I’m living currently. The fact that I survived 2020, 2021, and this moment is something to be proud of and grateful about. Well, all this wouldn’t be possible if not for the lovely parents I was fortunate to find myself with.

I’m so grateful for the parents I ended up with. I have seen different parents, and I knew I was lucky to end up with the amazing parents I have. We are a family of six—a dad and a mom—with my other three siblings making six. Since I was born, I have never stayed at home and heard my parents say, “Go and find what you would eat.”

My lil sis

I know many people have it rough out there. I know of a friend whose dad said he wasn’t going to train any of his kids at the university because he wanted to enjoy the money he was earning. I know of a woman who gives her 19-year-old daughter to men just because she wants to get their money.

The fact is that, if you share well enough, you will see how badly some people treat their parents. Some never had a normal childhood because of the parents they ended up with.

My parents aren’t the richest, but they were able to struggle to send us all to school up to high institutions. We were never sent out to get what we would eat except to run errands to make sure what we would eat would be ready.

I remember my sisters always asking for everything they need from my dad while making it sound like he must do their bidding. I would just smile and say, “Be thankful for the dad you have.”

At this moment, I’m grateful for the family I found myself in. Apart from my amazing parents, I’ve got amazing siblings too. My big sister is always there to make sure everything is going well at home. My little brother and sister are always happy because they follow instructions, we crack jokes and laugh about them, we all eat together, we share our secrets with each other, and we place ourselves first.
My family motto is: family first, always, and forever.

I’m really grateful to be a part of this family.

Thanks for reading, going back to Mars.

No matter how small it might be, we should always be grateful and grateful to God and not only to God alone but people around us who have contributed tremendously to our life
