It's such an awesome moment again to bring my participation for this edition. I want to share a brief testimony before I proceed with my write up for today. It has been my utmost desire and prayers that God will remember is in this axis with a down pour of rain. Since the beginning of the year, lots of questions had been running through my mind since the farming season ordinarily ought to have started since before now but no single sign of rain. It was a thing of joy. The lord decided to remember us with two heavy downpours which stirred up the spirit of everyone to go and start planting. When people farm, we are positive that there be would inflow of food crops every where to cushion the effect of hardship embedded upon people.

For this edition topic, I had to carefully ponder and recalled what I saw my parents even as I grew up and even now that I am father biologically to two wonderful kids as well. Every parent has a desire for the children to excel and become more productive than them. Parent prayers and wish is for the children to go further than where they have attained. Any parent that thinks less of his children and their future has a challenge. The first template that a child sees and emulates is the parents. My own believe is that whatever the parents does, the children most at times copy and paste such lifestyle that is why I encourage every parent and potential ones never to live a hypocritical life.

We are living in the world that is loaded with different views and perspective. Child up bringing should firstly be the parents before any other third party. We have different laws and cultural variances today which creates a notion to most children to misbehave and at times not believe in what their parents are doing. If a parent is optimistic about life, I think it would replicate in the children. Whenever a child comes up with choice to do something, for me if it's positive and is ok why not? Such child should be allowed to do what he or she wants to do.

For instance if a child grows to adulthood where he can be responsible for decision making, all the parents need to do is to guide them no matter what. If the child decides to choose another religion, or friends or pick a wife outside the confine of the community it should be allowed. There is a law in Nigeria that gives a citizen the legitimate right to practice the religion of choice. It is normally called freedom of worship. Many parents insist and compel their children to stick to their suggestions or believe system. It's bad and shouldn't be handled that way.

I knew of a woman that insisted that her son must marry from a particular clan of her choice. The son refused and sticked to his will at the end, she had to succumb to him. My parents never persuaded us to embrace what they believe and the kind of religion they practice. I saw the godly virtue in them and they maintained a high level of integrity which by default robbed on me and I imbibe such spirit. If the ways of a parent is straight and sincere, you won't struggle with your child over change in religion or other things. Your life will be a visible example for them to emulate.

Guide and guard your children to enable them make good outstanding decision in life that's good transformation for me.
