Mine is not the worst // cross culture contest

As long as I know, no one can run away from his or her culture, because it is through our culture that we are define, but that doesn't means, we do not have certain things we dislike and like about the way we see our environment, so I am going to try as much as possible, to share the things I admire about my country and the ones I kept wondering why?

I bet you that you can not see an Akwa Ibom man and you would not know, that is for the people who dwell in Nigeria, and as an Akwa Ibom man, I am proud for my state, since we have so many people on this community, and on hive, who might be finding it so difficult to understand my post.

I will gladly used my country Nigeria in this post, so I moved forward, the first thing I like about Nigeria, my dear country is that, Nigerians people are outstanding, they do not easily gave up on whatsoever they are into, infact, the truth is that, it is in their blood, that they would want to conquer, I have had this encounter with so many friends, who do not like to carry last in something, infact, when once they are there, their focus would always be to set theirself at the top.

I know this is true, because, I, myself, I do not have a rest of this kind of thinking, my instincts is still same because I am a Nigerian, to conquer and to have my name written is always what I look out for, all the times.

Secondly, I also admire something about my dear country Nigeria, and that is no other thing than love, and in this aspect, I want to say, "thank you" to all the Nigerians brothers and sisters out there, you guy's are one in a million products of love.

Back in those days, it was not like this, I mean, the Nigerians people minds were not gear towards this line of love, but in these days, when once a Nigerian, is out for something, they support and love, that he/she is going to derived, is going to be massive, and I can say that, this is really a blessing to the country, because in a place, where they is sound and loveable minds of people, that kinds of a place is going to carry's growths and so much advancement.

When I was a kid, I used to heard it from my uncle's and teachers, that Nigeria is the giant of Africa, I was like thinking, "Giant" there means, That Nigeria is a country that has a giant animal like elephant, that's used in war, but I was wrong, we are not fighters, but good people, who are looking forward to make their country better.

All the things I have written above about Nigeria falls under what i likes about my country, and I can surely bet, that we are the people we say we are. Yet, I have something I do not like about my country, because if I should just end there, without a little bitterness, that means, the sweet part, I have put forward out there, where not really sweet.

Now to the bitter part, I suggest is going on in the country is, "talking bad about Nigeria" I believe, No man has two country from his birth, I know, people can naturalize, and become a member of another country, but no one has two country by origin, you only have one.

So, I do not see any need for a Nigerian to talked bad about his Nigeria, joke apart, it doesn't make any sense, take for instance, when we the Nigerians talked bad about our country, what do we expect others to say, consider it like, "taking a big stone and knocked it on the head of your pet" the thing is, that your pet is going to get ill, and if you can take it to the hospital, the illness may get worst.

I know some of the things we say about our country are true, and I can agreed this to some extent, but the truth is that, others country had similar issues going on in their country, but they choose to kept it to themselves, because bad vibes is going to take their country backward.

So, I am begging each Nigerians out there, for the sake of our dear Country, for the sake of our unborn children's, let protect what we have, because, if we can't, no one is going to do it for us, United we stand, divided we fall.

Thanks for reading up to this extent, this is my entry in the cross culture contest, "two truths and one lie about your country, city or tribe", I admire your you.
