Celebrating Father's Day at Kahoy Cafe in Consolacion
Hello hivers, it's been a week since my previous blog entry. Life and work have been very busy in recent days, and I am still adjusting my work routine. I'm just glad that in a few days, I'll be able to work from home full-time, giving me more time for myself and other things.
We had planned to meet for another coffee or dinner date with these two before Father's Day, but Kaye wasn't feeling well, so we didn't go forward with the arrangement. We were still deciding where we wanted to go, but I knew I had wanted to go to this spot for a long time since it kept popping up on my Tiktok page. This restaurant has received several positive ratings, so I decided to give it a go and see for myself. I'd never been to Consolacion, despite knowing some coworkers who lived there and I am taking advantage of the opportunity to go for a change of scenery.
I left in the afternoon and met Yor at Ayala, where we were fortunate to get a ride quickly to SM Consolacion. I had no idea how long it was, but happily, there was no traffic. We arrived in 35 minutes, which is faster than on most days. While we waited for Kaye, we headed inside the mall. After we were reunited, we went to the Kahoy Cafe, which was approximately a 10-minute away from SM Consolacion and cost 50 PHP per person.
KAHOY means "wood" in English, and the Cafe's design is entirely built of wood and surrounded by trees, creating a homey atmosphere that celebrates nature.
When we arrived, the place was full, and we were lucky to get a table. The Cafe appears to be extremely cozy, and I must admit that I chose the incorrect day to come. I would have liked to visit this location with fewer people so that we could truly appreciate and experience the ambiance, but it was Father's Day and the weekend, so I understand.
We proceeded to order and I volunteered to pay for the Pizza and Kaye offered to pay for the Milky Turon and Mango Sticky Rice. We also ordered Lumpia and for coffee, Yor chose Hot Caramel Macchiato. Kaye ordered Kahoy Iced Berry Tea and I ordered Kahoy Coffee.
The food is a little pricey for some, but the remainder of the menu is reasonably priced. I truly enjoy their Pizza and Coffee and am looking forward to returning, maybe when it will be less busy.
