bumping into a deer
Friday afternoon. The idea was to run a flat trail run. Of course, there is no such thing as a flat trail run. So I ended doing the hills again which suited me just fine.
At the end of the street, where the service road to the ridge begins, I bumped into this fellow. Can you see him in the middle of the road in the shade?
Let's zoom in ... Yes, it's a young and curious deer.
When I almost bumped into him we simply exchanged surprised looks. I stopped and he trotted uphill without any rush.
These small trees to the right is where we met. I wasn't quick enough to pull the phone out of my pocket and take a decent photo.
Continuing uphill and to the ridge, the trail was like a forest highway.
The whole loop was almost 7 kilometers long. Enough for today!
