Fear, One of Man's Greatest Enemy ☺️.

*Sneaks in quietly.

Ok, I have a confession to make.

For a very long time, I see people who allow their fear hold them back as being weak.

Well, you can't fault me. I have lived with a mantra for a very long time, and that mantra is that

"For every fear that comes your way, make sure you smash it in the eye. Because every fear that is unattended to will wait for you at another phase of your life."

So if you have an idea of something to execute, don't even tell me about it, because I'd push you till you achieve that thing that you're meant to achieve.

Well, have I experienced fear before? quite a number of times infact, but then they were not really a big deal because I saw them as baby steps, so I could afford to fail.

But recently, I experienced what fear really was. I had this beautiful idea in my brain for the longest time. If not more than 3 months, but I couldn't bring myself to doing them, because I couldn't afford to fail.

Maybe I forgot that failure is a major part of life and we can't completely avoid it

I kept pushing the idea to the back of my mind, but the idea wouldn't go still and I felt stucked.

I finally summoned enough courage to reach out to my friend and shared the idea with her, and she was super excited and propelled me to take the first initiative towards achieving that idea.

So I did. And oh dear! It has to be one of the biggest step I have taken so far.

At some point, I feel like I didn't even know what I was doing, at other time, It felt like I could figure it out all by myself.

After all is said and done, the idea came to fruition and it was a big success even beyond what I imagine. Do you know the beautiful part of this? More ideas started coming to me

And it was like, the fact that I didn't take any step regarding the first one stopped the others from flowing. But immediately I took a step towards it, more ideas to implement kept coming.

Did I make mistakes in the first one? Oh yes!

Did I know what I was doing at every point in time? No

But I'm glad I took the step regardless because now there is a bigger idea, and I'm definitely going to execute it better than the first one.

Why? Because like they say, experience is the best teacher...I learnt from my first ideas and now I'm ready to take on a bigger one.

In all friend, the only thing that can stop you is you.

There is absolutely nothing that you cannot do if you put your mind to it. And yes, fear is an illusion. If you can overcome it once, you're good to go.

I hope this inspire someone to take up that project already and get it done because in you is the ability to do so
