🐸 It's a Frog Eat Frog World
Or is it? Back in June, we had some really heavy rains and flooding in some parts of the area. Luckily, we live on a hill and weren't affected like some places were. The rain though, filled our pool and turned it into a mess.
You know what didn't care about that? You know what loves the rain and warmer weather? Yes, frogs. Said frogs decided our pool was a good place to breed and lay some eggs too. In the hopes that some might survive, the girls begged to collect what eggs we could and put them in our unused little fish tank and have a bit of an experiment.
The reason it was empty is because somebody overfed them and I told them no more fish or anything for awhile, as they would have to learn to care for a thing before another thing was cared for and that opportunity rose with the frog eggs.
They each want to have another pet you see, and I decreed that not until they can keep a fish alive for a year, upon which they would be able to get if they could prove they had what it took somehow to nurture a creature. Fate is a funny thing. Over the past 5 months, we have had these eggs slowly mature into this!

As you can see, we now have frogs about the house. I was reminded promptly about the promise I made to get them fish, so, in one of the pictures for Christmas, I'm sure you'll see some fish tanks! HA! Hope you all are having a great weekend so far and that you REMEMBER TO BE YOU! I always am, even when I thought I was done Christmas shopping.

I'm happy that we don't need to do this here because my daughter is great with cats, in fact we should have had one (or two) way earlier for her mental state of mind but you know, house without permission to have pets and the pandemic. Oh, and wrong country so moving pets would have been slightly harder.
