As a kid, as far as I could remember, I have always been so cautious of time due to it complexity. knowing what I want as never been a problem, I have visualised every bit of wish, goals and objective I desire. it was simple at first, I could put number and age on everything I needed to achieve but as I grew older I realise there are some factors and challenges in life that influences our lives that can never be planned for, it doest matter if you are a great dreamer or thinker.

The best way to actualise goals and dreams is to cut it down into little achievable objectives, as long as a person can be consistent with achieving those objectives, it will take you one step closer to achieving your dreams. This has been the technique I have made use of for years in order to achieve my dreams.

π–£π–Ύπ—Œπ—‚π—€π—‡π–Ύπ–½ π—Žπ—Œπ—‚π—‡π—€ 𝖼𝖺𝗇𝗏𝖺

This year just like every other year, my major focus was finishing my final year project which is a partial fulfillment for the requirement of higher national diploma certificate.

Which was the starting point for my short term goal for this year, knowing fully well that after i complete my final year project the next thing in line is NYSC service and other stuff but I didn't get my wish. unknowing to me, I never knew some complications could delay my school from releasing my set final year result which is a major step that must be taken before any student could dream of service. we have all been waiting since February but nothing yet as of now. with that on hold, my plan to obtain my final year certificate and NYSC is on hold too.

All I have left to focus on is the remaining aspect of my short term goal Which is achieving 1500 HP before the year runs out. I was so determined on achieving it, I put in a lot of work and effort, in the history of my journey on hive so far, I consider this year to be the most productive compared to last year. my 1500 HP is still achievable but I'm not that close to it yet due to drastically powering down a significant amount of HP to sort out some financial issue, this year has been tough financially.

My long term goals have always remained the same, which I have written about it on my blog. I have always desired to have a livestock farm/poultry. which the plan has been in motion since I graduated from secondary school, I had always invested the little I have in it to grow further. though I started with rabbits because there is scarcity of rabbit farm and also my love for those peaceful creatures. things has been good so far, I have never really taken anything out of the income I earn from my rabbit farm because I keep reinvesting, just to make the growth more progressive.

This year, my plan was to expand to other livestock/poultry animals like chickens, catfish and rams/goats but things took an unimaginable turn this year, everything became so expensive, I knew that it will cost a lot to expand to other poultry animals but I was planning on starting on small scale and watch it grow but the cost of starting from small scale for those animals grew beyond what I can handle, the price of everything tripled, it took all I have to keep my rabbit farm going.

Do I think the remaining four months of this year is enough to achieve these things.

Sincerely speaking, I really don't know. The complicated part of my plan is that, my short term goals for this year eventually leads to achieving my long term goals. As a result of my final year result being delayed, I'm unable to secure my Higher national diploma certificate, which I was planning on making use of to secure a job at my uncle's place of work, if that was possible then I would use the salary to expand my livestock farm. so practically based on this new development in my plan, four months doesn't seem to be enough to achieve my plan but as a man of faith I believe a lot of good things could still occur in the span of four months, so I'm hopeful.

All I'm trying to do now, is to act on things I can actually do myself, which includes my hive account and achieving 1500 HP before the year runs out. at least that is something I can still work on despite every other uncertainty.

This write-up was inspired by weekly featured content titled "Four months more" in hive learners community.

Oh my world, just how the Nigerian systems keep affecting our growth in life is really sad. Sometimes it is a strike action and other times they come up with unreasonable excuse and delay.

I like your principle and how you are able to place timings on your goals and dreams, it is worthy of emulation.

The economy did toil with our plans for the year but it is goof that at least your rabbits are spared.
You will achieve your dreams of poultry and other farming, just hold on until it manifest.

Yeah, it is quite disheartening the rate at which we encounter different challenges in the country due to inability of the government or institution to perform their duties effectively

I wouldn't say my rabbit farm was spared but the advantage of a rabbit farm is that it cost less to manage unlike other type of farm animals because rabbits are vegetariansπŸ˜…, so their feeding doesn't cost much.

Thanks for the word of encouragement, it really means a lot.

Oh that's good news.

They have been spared of the hunger in the land. You can grow cheap vegetables to feed them. I know nothing about raising rabbits.

I understand but when it comes to raising livestock animals, no one is a professional, we are all still learning πŸ˜…

Hi @emrysjobber , thank you very much for your valuable advice in the second paragraph. You will succeed in your career by persisting, even if you often encounter financial problems along the way. Best regards.

Yeah you can, as long as you have the space to secure them, which is very important.

All the best for your Hive Power goals. It's unfortunate that your final year result is being delayed :(. Is that usually normal for that to happen to people where you live

This is so depressing, l'm also waiting for my internship to be approved, I have successfully applied to different states both Calabar, Portharcourt, Abuja, Abeokuta no reply yet. As getting my internship will make me stable then think of achieving a business venture. I will wish to have a poultry farm one day.

An interesting post mate. I especially like how you seem to break your goals down into smaller/more achievable objectives. That makes sense to me. Keep well my friend and thanks for sharing.

Livestock farming is very lucrative. If you can pursue that goal and work towards it, you will really make something huge out of it. Your goals on hive are commendable, I trust that with consistence, you will excel

It hurts badly how things seem to delay or go contrary to our plans . It is well my bro, I believe all things happens together for good as it written in the bible. Things will fall into place. You will surely achieve your goals, it might take some time though but don't give up, it is achievable. I wish you the best.
