EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS: thoughtful lessons From The starfish Story

(Edited)

I know people are going through a whole lot than they can bear including myself, but most times when I look at all of these I feel a huge wave of sympathy weeping over me, I literally will forget about problem and honestly wish how I can step out and extend a helping hand a sort of relieve to these people,

You see one time a man was walking along the sea shore when he noticed a star fish he bent down to pick it up and throw it back into the water he did for the first then the second the third that's when he noticed that they were a whole lot of star fishes swept ashore by the current while he tried picking the forth back into the water a man walked up to him and said you can't probably pick all of these star fishes back into the waters, he Replied the man and he said yah that's true for sure but he bent down picked the fifth and as he threw it into the waters he said I just did to that one.

Few years ago I don't know how it all became a part of me but I knew, I made a decision to make sure I put a smile on who ever I came in contact with whether physically or on the phone, it makes me feel better when they actually laugh or smiles it's really does makes me feel good too, cause I knew for a fact that, in that few seconds or minutes that person probably must have forgotten about whatever issues or anything it is that has made them sad, angry, vexed, depressed that moment they can reflect upon and just smile, to me it registers my presence in their lives for that day.

I was talking to a friend who had probably come to the end of the road, totally out of options and at these point anything looks and sounds better, I tried talking to her out of it cause it looks perfectly well we were literally in the same mess financially trying all we can to get out, so I knew definitely how she felt, we talked bought her food and try making the entire situation look so easy, few days ago I chatted her up and tried to find out how she was doing, telling her it will be fine let her just pray about it, her reply to me shocked me till this moment, she told me there's no need to pray about anything, right there I was speechless just left the conversation for the mean time.

The year is just two weeks old and four days old and it is overwhelming the reports of deaths already that I've heard and I'm like what is going on, in my village we have a proverbs that interprets

"when there is life there is hope"

I'm someone who has been struggling with depression for almost all my life, one thing led to another such that I never see anything good about my existence, but then I'm alive and all of my experiences and happenings I always find away to build up my courage it is hard when you're the only one believing in yourself, even when the going gets so tough you look back and there's absolutely no body to give you a thumbs up it's hard to live like that but then that proverbs sinks Into me and always gives me light, of which sometime last year I crafted a mantra that says

"What's ahead is far more greater better than what is and what's past

So the future is were we should focus our gaze on right now, don't just live for now but live for tomorrow cause it is always better than today, everyday is always better than yesterday, I made a decision as part of my new year resolutions to never regret or worry about anything even when I have all evidence to worry or regret it, I choose to let it slid that's because there is no point crying over a spill milk, but rather there should be a silence lesson learned from that experience.

To make the most of your 2024, you must be purposeful, intentional, and determined to make it count in every sense of the word, it's on you to make it, take responsibility for it, life is plane enough it is what you say it is.

Hello there! It is Saturday in my neck of the woods. I was notified by Gina BOT that you had posted again in our community. So... I came to have a look. The positive energy of your post is quite the fresh air that we need in the world right now. But as I shared with you in one of your recent posts... there are certain guidelines in our community; these guidelines aren't just for our community per se. You will find similar guidelines in other communities, as well as many Discord Servers. We strive to focus on original content. When we decide to use the words or images from others, we must source them... and source them in a way that provides proper attribution. Your message is one of positive energy and one that lets us focus on the power of healing and not giving up. But providing proper sources for the content that is not yours will only help to elevate your awesomesauce. Now... I am not picking on you! But please check out the following information; there's a neat option on PeakD to create what's called "Templates". They allow you to save content to share... Let me share one I created for proper sourcing.

Hello!

First... thank you for participating in our #thoughtfuldailypost TAG! I do appreciate you choosing to post in our community, but would respectfully give you a few pointers, to help elevate your awesome!!

Google is NOT a reputable source for images. I always suggest the following websites, that will provide you with good images, and proper attribution:

If the photographs are yours, then let your readers know, by providing the details of your smartphone or camera! Simply adding the following to the end of your post, will provide you with taking ownership of your content, and also let your readers know you care!

All content is mine unless otherwise stated

If you are having trouble getting your sources right, please take a look at my dear friend’s post below:

https://peakd.com/theterminal/@jamerussell/easy-and-correct-minimal-sourcing

I say these things, out of respect and love. I want everyone to succeed, and have a positive experience on our blockchain! Also, I would remind you to read the Rules and Guidelines of my Community; I am not really picky, but do ask everyone to follow them!

This is information that will help you to choose the right places to get your images. One more thing... your beginning story was from a very well-known author; Loren Eiseley. There are many explanations of the actual creation. But here is one that explains somewhat...

"The Star Thrower" (or "starfish story") is part of a 16-page essay of the same name by Loren Eiseley (1907–1977), published in 1969 in The Unexpected Universe. The Star Thrower is also the title of a 1978 anthology of Eiseley's works (including the essay), which he completed shortly before his death."
The Star Thrower. (2023, April 11). In Wikipedia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Star_Thrower

Now you have a way to find useable images, as well as provide sources for your content. I hope this helps you get your balance... I have taken the time to make sure you have the necessary tools to grow your account. Here's to elevating your awesomesauce!!

Once again... you are welcome. Don't think of it as a "tip". Think more along the lines of guidance, or friendly advice. Our blockchain is a combination of many things. Original content... proper sourcing... use of proper TAGS... and following the guidelines of each respective community. Rather than posting two more posts, I would have taken the advice given. Made the appropriate changes. Acknowledging information is the first step to learning. One other thing that is very important?

At the end of the day... it's your account. You are free to do what you wish. But sadly... when posts in our community don't adhere to the guidelines. We simply don't curate them... Food for thought...
