I tell you, I helped my mother with the preparation of the pernil, which is fascinating process, where ingenuity is at the surface, soon in the community of hive food, I will leave a recipe made with love, the results are exquisite, I made the salad, where I used potato, carrot and boiled egg, with the touch of dressing being the union of mayonnaise and mustard with a pinch of salt that makes it magical, the ham bread was a gift from my work, carrying every year the secret of the best bread of Trujillo Venezuela, the evening was very cozy, with my parents and brothers, we all worked together to develop the dinner, which was a feast.
The New Year's Eve dinner, with the variety of contours being hallaca, baked salad, ham bread and banquet bread, is a tradition at home and we joyfully make the best of it.
Once the table is served, we sit down to pray and ask God to bless our food and that of the whole world.
The economic situation was not easy, but with sacrifices this sharing was possible, it seems unbelievable, but in spite of so many adversities for Venezuelans, there was no joy in the urbanisation where I live, as in previous years, apart from that it started to rain very hard and the atmosphere was dull.
But the family union at home was very harmonious, because each member of the household gave a grain of sand to make it possible amidst music and a toast for all that was experienced and for what is to come.
