Three meaningful words (integrity, deception and determination)

Happy 3rd anniversary to this community #weekend engagement. Many more years to celebrate. More energy to you @galenkp, as he always give us great topics to write on for our weekend. I picked three which are Integrity , deception and determination

Integrity
Integrity has to deal with personality, your principles and standards, your character and how you try to protect yourself from some things you feel might affect you negatively or destroy the good reputation you have.

Proverbs 22:1 – “A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, loving favor rather than silver and gold.”

There are things that I will not engage in and try to avoid some places if I feel it's going to affect my principles and way of life. I stand up for what I believe in, which may not align with others. Up till now I still can't attend late night parties, call me old fashioned or not exposed 😁 , but it is what I have been used to and a choice that I made. Integrity is a choice/ decisions we make, and it is what we must keep making, every moments of our lives, even though we are human and can break our rules, but if we are truthful to our rules and values, it is achievable

Deception
Deception is deceiving someone, hiding the truth or trying to mislead with lies and fake information. It often leads to betrayal and distrust, sometimes the people that are closest to us often deceive us because we are vulnerable to them, they know things about us and try to manipulate us. I have had a fair share of deception from friends and in relationships, this make me have trust issues. It's really hard to put my whole trust in people, especially when their actions does not match their words,I still wonder what some people gain from deception, just be straight forward, I don't think that's hard.

Determination
To be determined is when you are strong willed, making up your mind to do what you want even if others are not in support of it. Following your dreams to achieve what you want to be, because in the end you only have yourself. Trying to choose others over yourself may not serve you well and may be detrimental . Staying focused will go a long way, without letting anybody stop you. I could remember when I was planning to resign from teaching for fashion designing and I got a lot of advices on how salary will stop, how I have to start my life all over again,having to tend to errands but I followed my dreams and am happy. I chose what's best for me. Life is too short not to do what makes you fulfilled
