Leaving a salary work to learn a skill: Hard decisions

Spending time to learn a new skill with a full time job will not be easy. Normally you will be tired from 7-5 and cannot really devote time to it, at the end it is half baked (incomplete).

Me, for example, I tried to combine two together, teaching and learning a skill(fashion designing), the time I close from my teaching work is the exact time the tutor of this place I intended to learn from also closes, she was very realistic with me and told me straight up that it wouldn't work that way unless she wants to be deceiving me. I tried to convince her that I would be coming during holidays

She declined and said she has told me the truth. Even though, I love teaching, but I need to follow my passion. It is sad sometimes when you think a particular job would be your career forever or something you hoped will bring fulfilment, maybe it didn't make you happy for a while but life happens, change is needed and it is fine

Life is short:Make the right choice

In reality I learnt a lot about myself, my desires and life. It was scary at first since I will not be getting salary again, this means being broke for a while, but I need to have faith.

You might be in that state now, thinking about what lies beyond the walls of your regular job; lonely thoughts, worrying too much, just follow your heart and make the best of decisions.

I can still impact with my skill

I love impacting and at some point I felt a little bit guilty, leaving my students, I really wanted to be of help to them, my own way of giving back to the society, but I realised I can still be of help without staying in the classroom. With my skill which is my fashion designing which I will be learning full time now. I believe I can still channel some efforts into free online classes, when I finally complete it or teach about fashion physically to students interested. This will be a dream come true. I will be sharing some of my progress on my blog soon.
