For New Year's Day, I went on a trip to my mother-in-law's house in the Andean foothills, with culinary traditions from both the plains and the Andes. That night all the food seemed new to me, the hallacas had boiled eggs and some large chunks of vegetables like potatoes and carrots. At my mother's house it is prepared a little differently, usually everything is cooked and chopped in the same stew.

The nicest thing was the family sharing of that delicious dinner and thus saying goodbye to 2023, this was a pending for many years to share that new year's eve with my husband's family. Although my little heart was also at home with my parents and my siblings 🥰❤️

Para el día de año nuevo, estuve de viaje para casa de mi suegra en el pie de montaña andino, con tradiciones culinarias tanto del llano como de los andes. Esa noche toda la comida me parecía novedosa, las hallacas tenían huevo sancochado y algunos verduras en trozos grandes como la papa y la zanahoria. En casa de mi mamá se prepara un poco distinto, por lo general todo va cocido y picado en el mismo guiso.

Me llevé una rica sorpresa, lo sabores son sublimes y hacen un delicioso contraste con el guiso, la masita estaba con muy buen sazón. Mi suegrita tiene muy buena sazón, siempre que la visitamos comemos deli, deli 🤤🤤

Lo más lindo fue el compartir familiar de esa deliciosa cena y así despedir el 2023, esto era un pendiente desde hace muchos años compartir esa noche de año nuevo con la familia de mi esposo. Aunque mi corazoncito también estaba en casa con mis papás y mis hermanos 🥰❤️
