My Attempt in Thinking Long-Term

Ever since I am a mother I never thought of goals and dreams, just living day by day and embrace the present. After all, I actually reached my ultimate goal of motherhood! And with a mini-boss always depending on me, whichever plans I would try to do even just for the day, it would very likely turn upside down because of him!

Even so, I really can't complain about what I achieved over the past 2 years without really planning long-term. Since I embraced this online/crypto adventure I have accomplished things that I would never imagine doing, like being on camera, create my own program or even taking part in the team of, who they call themselves "just two dudes doing stuff", who I admire very much! They laugh when I say that but for me, they rock even when they feel that things are against them!

Big shout out to the "dudes" @jongolson and @blainjones!

Now that David Is growing his independence by bits and we are getting back to some kind of good pace, I can try to plan something for the next 5 years.

I actually don't have the ambition of financial freedom per se, because I do love my offline job! Being a Spa Therapist is the best way to help people, at least I had a lot of people saying that I'm good at it so I will keep doing it until my body lets me.

But let's face it: it is a very physical job and even if I might still have a few years to go, sooner or later I won't be able to keep it up. Or even a worst-case scenario - and knock on the wood - what if I get injured enough to make me stop?

I will always need a backup plan.

So, why not learn other skills in your free time?
Why not dollar cost average in some crypto? Crypto is here to stay folks, make your mind click!
Why not use this fantastic platform called Hive Blockchain that even lets you earn by playing games? Please make our mind click now!!

Oh, but if you already have a full-time job, not to mention a full-time mother and housewife, it's impossible for you to do more than that in a day!

I will make time for it if I really want to.

It's a matter of mindset and choices, would you rather spending your free time reading, taking an online class or build something, or rewatching your favourite series?

To be honest, I actually do both lol
I focus on work for a good chunk of time and then reward myself with an episode, instead of a full season in a day!

Anyway...goals!

Another reason that I never wrote down long-term goals and stick to them is that I want to do so many things and get overwhelmed...but again...I will try!

With a new job and soon moving to my in-law's apartment that will be ours from now on will save a lot from not paying rent. I mean, of course, we will give something to them, I much prefer paying rent to my inlaws than to the bank. My husband said that he would take care of that part while I would take care of the other expenses.

This means that I can now start a savings account for David! That's one goal! Well, I kind of started it already here on HIVE by throwing some HBD to the Savings, but an extra savings account won't do harm I believe.

My second goal will be building a program like CTP Blueprint but for other programs. I want to help more people with more Blueprints!
Already have something in mind, just need to little by little gather the knowledge and do more research.

My third goal is to merge an old love and making myself more useful for Affilliatech and some of you might know: I want to fill the design department, so Jon writes and dances on camera, Blain codes and breaks keyboards and I design graphics and tackle support tickets 😁

Either goal will take time and effort, but adding 1 euro/HBD every day to the piggy, read an article or post or watch video tutorials 30 minutes a day and watch one online class or two a day, in 5 years I'm sure that I will be richer in all those ways!

I don't have numbers on my goals, but would 5000 HBD be achievable in 5 years?
Up to be to build my account I guess :)

This post is sponsored by @blainjones with his 5-year goals post!

Who's next?

I like the way you think. You should always think about what matters most to you. It is different for every single person. In the finance world, it is called personal finance because it is exactly that personal.

I think 5000 HBD is very achieveable. that would be around 2.73 HDB per day. you can probably create a short and mid term plan that would make that happen. Good luck. I think your are awesome and I hope you never forget that you are.....

I maybe will start to track the savings account on my Hive Goals post on Sundays to see how much I grow and break it down in smaller goals as you said. I will think about it, thanks!

And thank you so much for your kind words, it means a lot :)

I love your energy! It makes me want to make plans of my own as well haha

I believe you can totally achieve 5000 HBD! You can lock it on your savings as you go and you will get 10% on it, so it makes things a little easier!

Goals and Successes will always be subjective. We are so conditioned to allow society dictate what success is, that is already putting ourselves in a deep hole trying to conform.

@elianaicgomes - the best part of where you see yourself in five years, is that it's your yellow brick road and there is definitely no evil wizard behind the curtain; because you are the wizard :-)

Keep inspiring.

It's a great way of thinking. Especially the HBD savings since it returns 10% right now and I think the recent changes has made the peg more likely to hold.

I believe so too! And thinking that that savings section is for David will motivate me to not touch it lol
With the returns, the 5000 HBD goal might get a bit easier as well.

Hi Eliana, I think it's great that you enjoy your job so much that you don't want to give it up. I feel the same way about my teaching gigs. The last 18 months have brought home to me how much I enjoy "in class" or "face to face" teaching compared to online classes.

Good luck with your goals, now you can start thinking beyond just getting through each day! LOL!

I started to fill my HBD piggy as well. At the moment it comes mainly from my Splinterlands income. I believe it's a great way to save for the future. You add whatever you manage and it will grow steadily. In addition to that you get very interesting interests that will make your money grow even more. I think 5K is totally doable in 5 years :-)

You could also include your little one in your long term goals and introduce him little by little in this cryptographic world so that when he comes of age and wants to become independent he can have good savings that do not devalue.
