[En-Es] A North American moth: Melipotis indomita or Drasteria pallescens ?

I found this moth 4 months ago, in the morning and on a blue jean cloth.

Hola amigos de Insects of the world, espero que estén todos muy bien.
Encontré esta polilla hace 4 meses, en la mañana y sobre una tela de blue jean.

BugGuide, the page I frequently consult to identify insect species, is run by a community that comes together and celebrates Moth Day every year.

BugGuide, la página que consulto con frecuencia para identificar especies de insectos, es dirigida por una comunidad que se reúne y celebra todos los años el día de la polilla.

Out of curiosity I clicked on the event link to see photos of the previous year's celebration and there it was. Exactly the same moth that months before had found.

Por curiosidad hice click en el enlace del evento para ver fotos de la celebración del año anterior y allí estaba. Exactamente la misma polilla que meses atrás había encontrado.

I felt lucky to found the scientific name that way, since most moths are hard for me to identify.

Me sentí afortunada de encontrar el nombre científico de esa manera, ya que la mayoría de las polillas son para mí difíciles de identificar.

In my search results there is another moth that looks very similar to it, the Drasteria pallescens. There are also slight differences such as the color of the eyes, which are lighter in the specimen I found.

En los resultados de mi búsqueda hay otra polilla que se le parece mucho, la Drasteria pallescens. También hay ligeras diferencias como el color de los ojos, que son más claros en el ejemplar que encontré.

Melipotis indomita seems to be common in the United States and the Antilles, but this is the first time I've seen it.

Melipotis indomita parece ser común en Estados Unidos y las Antillas, pero aquí es primera vez que la veo.

It had lines and drawings of different shades of brown on its body, legs, antennae, and wings, as well as a yellow stripe running through both front wings. It was about 2 centimeters long by 1.5 wide.

Tenía en el cuerpo, patas, antenas y alas, líneas y dibujos de diferentes tonos de marrón, además de una franja amarilla que atraviesa ambas alas delanteras. Medía unos 2 centímetros de largo por 1,5 de ancho.

These foreign species may be arriving lost from their original habitat, due to climatic phenomena or accidental transport.

Permaneció todo el tiempo muy quieta, lo que me facilitó fotografiarla.
Esas especies foráneas quizá estén llegando extraviadas de su hábitat original, por fenómenos climáticos o transporte accidental.
