This year there could be a pill to fight covid-19 - Luke is Alive #50 May 03, 2021

Pharmaceutical Pfizer is currently testing the first pill specifically designed to stop COVID-19. If these show positive results, it is likely that this year we can have a pill to treat the infection. The tests began in March and there are still others ahead, but it is estimated that it will be ready in a short time.

"The drug is part of a class of drugs called protease inhibitors, and it works by inhibiting an enzyme that the virus needs to replicate in human cells."

Among its peculiarities, experts assure that the drug, taken orally, could change the rules of the game in this pandemic, because people recently infected with the virus could use it outside of hospitals.

Great news that would help us a lot in the fight against this terrible disease.

There already are pills to treat the virus and they cost pennies on the dollar. This is just another money grab by Big Pharma.

Protease is needed in digestion and in maintaining balanced amino acids. I would not be surprised to find that protease inhibitors had nasty side effects. I would pass on this COVID cure.

There were therapeutics and nutritional supplements that dramatically reduced the infection rates and severity of COVID19.

For some odd reason the political establishment was suppressing basic discussions of immune health; so the public never heard about this information. I guess Pfizer knows which wheels to grease to get official approval.

Even though I would avoid this remedy. it will be nice to get an officially approved therapeutic. However, I think the therapeutics that boost the immune system are better than those based on things like protease inhibitors.
