EDSvote update #40 | Delegate HP to mint EDS (that pay a HIVE income = 26% APY) 🤯🚀🤑

Welcome all to this week's EDSvote update where we look at a range of different things. Please follow the @eddie-earner account to make sure all our reports are going into your feed and you can easily stay updated on your investment.

What is EDSvote?
Eds-vote is an account that people can delegate HIVE POWER to. In return for their delegation, they will receive EDS tokens each Monday.

The delegated HP will be used to curate content on HIVE and provide small upvotes for those that hold over 100 EDS tokens. Delegating HIVE POWER to @eds-vote will not result in an upvote. This is not a delegation to upvote service. It is a way to distribute the remaining reallocated EDS into circulation.

What are EDS tokens?
EDS tokens are HIVE income tokens that are pegged and backed to 1 HIVE each. They pay out weekly dividends every Monday based on 12% of the total powered-up HIVE balance of the @eddie-earner account. This is currently paying out an APY to token holders of roughly 35%.

Report #40

Let's have a look at the numbers in chart form as this is the best way to see performance and predict the future.

Incoming delegations have been steadily increasing over the past few weeks going from 121k HP up to 125.5k. Support for @eds-vote has been amazing from week 1 and we can see this in the above chart. The overall trend is up, the big 30k delegation that comes and goes is easy to see and we see growth during these as well. We could hit 150k soon, EDS gets alot of support because its EDS 😏

Last week's curation APY was strangely high at 9.1% so I checked the VP and saw it was running low so I adjusted some voting percentages and the VP should now be on the climb. This week's curation APY is 8.47% which is more in line with what is sustainable for us.

Total earned this from curation was 203.89 HP. This is good because it is more than 200 and if we can hold our current incoming delegations from supporters, we'll beable to see the start of a new powerdown for 200 HIVE a week that goes directly into the HP balance on @eddie-earner. This increases the EDS HIVE income pool, which is good for EDS token holders. People like you that delegate HP @eds-vote and get EDS already 😉

Pretty solid week with 102 EDS minted and issued to eds-vote delegators. At this rate, we will be minting over 5200 a year. With 90k EDS allocated to eds-vote, we have 17 years of rewards. Of course, if we had 250k HP being delegated in, we'd have 8.5 years of rewards. 90k sounds like alot until they are gone.

Earning over 200 HP a week and being able to mint over 100 EDS from that is a nice result and milestone for eds-vote.

Round-Up

I have missed the past few weeks of updates but I am still recording stats weekly to keep charts correct. @eds-vote is still growing from strength the strength each week and we're pretty much on plan. Here is a snapshot of the eds-vote 25 years Projections Post

With 12 more weeks to go until eds-vote is 1 year old, it is very possible we hit 150K. We need 25k more and we currently are growing by around 2k per week. Im sure we'll hit a fork in the road but we have hope and sometimes thats all we need.

To round up, eds-vote is still smashing it and watching incoming delegations grow each week is just class. We've been able to mint 2880 EDS so far and dished out over 11k HIVE worth of upvotes. Cant wait to see all of our year end numbers.
