I've done so many things in life that I'm not proud of just because I'm a human. We make mistakes, and we learn, which leads to growth.
When I was in university during my 300-level days, I was addicted to sports betting just because I was looking for ways to make quick money, and betting on sports was one of those things I did to provide for myself, not knowing it would lead to addiction. I did not know I was addicted before, not until I used my school fees to bet and the funniest part was I did not even win and I lost more than half of the money.
That semester, I was so lucky to have friends who would help me because they gave me part of the money I spent. I was forced to sell my phone because that was the only way I could get the money back, and that was 2018. I have already joined Hive but I did not see that I could make it on hive because I thought for you to make it on Hive, you have to have a lot of hive power, and that was to start big, and hive was one of the reasons why I was betting that if I could win big in a bet, I would redirect the money to hive and secure my life.
Betting did not do me good just because some of us are born not to be gamblers. I did not have any luck with betting. It was loss upon loss, and that's why I stopped. The truth is, we have so many people on hive that started with nothing and they have built their account over the years, but I was so sure of having a lot of hive power before I could start doing well on hive.
The belief in starting will not only render you useless but also waste your time.
Many people in our society believe that they must have a certain amount of money before they can start their dream business. This belief is wrong and only renders them useless because they won't be able to do anything. Even when they have a little money, they choose to spend it on something else rather than starting a business they know a lot about. I know few people who gain a lot of experience in business from their families or from a friend but they choose to cling to their belief that they have a lot of money before they start the business.
Some individuals tend to waste their time engaging in unproductive activities like gambling instead of focusing on what they are good at and starting from there. This notion of starting big is counterproductive as it renders people useless to themselves and society. Some people even use this belief as an excuse to justify their wasteful behaviors, just like I did when I was in university. Rather than working hard and securing my future, I preferred to take a chance and gamble my way out of poverty. While I was lucky enough to bounce back, this approach does not work for everyone.
Some of us already have the answer but we still out there wasting our time.
If I have taken hive serious since 2018 and have been actively engaging and making efforts to succeed. I might have been one of the highest earners in Hive and my HP could have been more than this, and my reputation could have been more than this but it took so long before I realized. Unfortunately, like many others in our society, they believed they needed to make it big elsewhere before taking advantage of opportunities presented to them, and before we make it the opportunity has gone. The truth is, that the opportunity is already here for us to seize, yet many choose to do nothing about it. We wait for something to happen before taking action, instead of taking the initiative to create our own success, don't be like me and start from somewhere today.

You are absolutely right that everyone can start his/her start up or career with no money. The important thing is you need to learn to be resourceful. Just complaining for every thing is not a solution.

Sadly, many are still on the quest to gamble their way out of poverty today. This mindset has put most in financial peril.
This is why we should not go in search for quick money and instead build something from the ground up like we can do here on Hive. And I agree with you there is no better time to start than now.
Very true many people many are still stuck with the notion of gathering a lot of money before they will be able to start something for themselves..This always ends in unfulfilled wishes.The best is to start somewhere no matter how small,and strategies a better approach to boost it.
You are right, we mustn't wait until we have it plenty before we will start. That is a waste of time and if care is not taken, we might not start at all. It is better we start with what we have and then grow from there.
Gambling is tough and I don't like doing that. It can definitely turn into a bad result as you lose a lot of money. Eventually the house wins so I don't think it's worth risking too much. I agree that doing productive things rather than gambling is the best choice. Slowly making progress is the way to go.
