social media addiction and our focus

Last year, before I started my fitness journey, I didn't sleep often, just because I was always moving from one social media platforms to another, and I enjoyed it because that's one of those things that helps with my emotions. But during those times, I was fat, and something happened to me.

So I was diagnosed, and I realized that my health condition wasn't great, and that was why I had to stop this habit of not sleeping very well. At first, I thought it was a good thing that if you don't sleep well, you're doing something with your time, it was not good for me because, during this time, I was not sleeping well, I was not doing something beneficial to me.

Social media can be addictive, and it's not uncommon for people to fall into that trap. Many social platforms are designed to keep you entertained and engaged for long periods of time. Personally, I've found myself staying up all night watching YouTube videos, which has caused problems with both my sleep schedule and my ability to focus on important tasks. It's frustrating when I can't concentrate on things that are truly beneficial to me.

During these times, I struggle to maintain focus as my mind is often distracted with videos on YouTube or scrolling through Instagram. Unfortunately, this lack of concentration has also impacted my work on hive. There were days when I couldn't manage to post daily, and instead, had to settle for once every three days or even just once a week. My schedule was never as tight as I wanted it to be due to my inability to manage my time effectively.

Identifying a problem and working towards solving it is the key to resolving any issue. When you can pinpoint the root cause of the problem, it becomes easier to find a solution

Overcoming my addiction to social media was a challenging task, as I had become used to using my phone frequently despite already earning a living online using my phone. However, I realized that I wasn't using my time on the screen productively. Once I recognized this, it became easier for me to address the issue and eventually break free from my phone addiction. This has not only improved my overall health but also enhanced my time management skills.

Being active on platforms like Hive can be beneficial as it allows you to stay engaged and post regularly. However, if you find that your addiction to social media is not helping you in any way, it's important to find a way to overcome it. In my case, I was able to break away from my addiction and focus my energy on creating more posts on a daily basis, which has greatly improved my engagement on Hive and, in turn, my overall well-being.

Get your focus right.

If we prioritize doing what is right and focus on activities like reading books, going to the gym, and following a strict schedule, we can improve our well-being and productivity. It's important to set aside some time to relax and enjoy ourselves as well, perhaps on the weekends. By balancing our lives and focusing on what truly matters, we can achieve positive results.

Managing our time effectively is crucial, and it's equally important to ensure that we remain focused. While social media and the internet have become integral parts of our lives, we must exercise control and not let them interfere with our concentration. By prioritizing our time and using it wisely, we can ensure that we benefit from it in the long run.

You are right, so many people are addicted to social media and the worse part is, there addiction is not giving them any positive results. Hive is a good platform and I will always love to be here 24hours because the addiction will definitely give me positive results.

Social media can definitely distract you quite a bit. I have had Youtube and other things distract me quite a bit and I am glad that you are focusing more on your health. I end up procrastinating until the deadline comes closer.
