These skills make him a valuable asset and worth more than just his financial worth. Self-development is crucial for personal growth and to retain what is unique to oneself, as some things cannot be taken away by anyone else.

Value is expensive

In life, value is a scarce commodity, which is why it should be our top priority when trying to earn money. However, most people focus solely on making money without realizing the importance of enhancing their value. It's better to invest in self-development to become a valuable asset rather than just working hard at our jobs. We pay so much more to listen to valuable people and not only pay money to listen to valuable people but also pay money to add value to our lives because we understand that value is significant. We must try to be valuable rather than chase money. There is nothing bad in chasing money first, but after acquiring the money, we can use this to create value for ourselves not just having money alone.

Develop yourself

Reading more books is also crucial since many knowledgeable people have gone through numerous experiences and are willing to share them with you. Acquiring knowledge may be expensive at times, but it is always worth the investment. The more knowledge you acquire, the more valuable you become, making it one of the easiest ways to increase your value.

Don't ever give yourself a reason to stop developing yourself. It's one of those things we can regret because self-development is something that can never be taken from us. Even if we make thousands of dollars and spend it all, the knowledge and experience we gained to make that money will still be with us, so we can always make more. By developing better spending habits and continuously improving ourselves, we can avoid the danger of relying solely on our jobs. If we lose our jobs, we won't fall back to ground zero.
