BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge - Melee Mayhem

Hot summer does not dispose to long sitting at the computer, so we take advantage of the good weather and spend a lot of time in nature, and since today is cloudy - I decided to devote a couple of days to my favourite game and take part in a new round of BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge and try a couple of strategies with the rule Melee Mayhem.

I really like using the Death elemental in fights with this rule, as it has cards that have good attack parameters and, what's more, there are a couple of dual attack cards that give a very significant advantage.

So my lineup:

WAKA SPIRITBLADE

Beloved summoner, giving allies to deal extra damage to the enemy with the Poison ability.

CURSED WINDEKU

Thanks to the high amount of health and Thorns ability that reflects the damage dealt to the card, this monster is pretty good in the first position, so I decided not to break tradition :)

UNDEAD MINOTAUR

The dual attack plus the ability to poison the opponent makes this classic card very dangerous, and I was hoping that in the first couple of turns it would play a major role in destroying the opponent's first card.

UNDEAD REXX

I very rarely see this card in the game and I think it is extremely underrated. Because of Trample's ability to make a couple of attacks per round, it can be a great "getter".

PHANASM

Speed! Speed! And speed! This card has proven itself in combat many hundreds of times, and once you get the poison ability from your summoner, it becomes a real Lethal Weapon!

POSSESSED PUPPET

I rarely use this new card, but it works best with the Melee Mayhem rule. A quick double attack + poisoning your opponent = profit!

USUT

This mage is a relatively new addition to my deck, and despite its low speed, it can make a strong argument against a strong opponent because of its Bloodlust ability, and thanks to its high health, it can last for a very long time.

I had a very decent opponent who chose an interesting combo with an emphasis on defence - Arkemis the Bear, giving allies an extra shield, Harklaw with a cool Shield ability plus Legionnaire Alvar, with a great shield and Void Armor ability. And Usut, backed up by Venari Marksrat, was a bit worrisome.

As planned, I took out the enemy tank during the first round, but thanks to the Explosive Weaponry rule, the enemy took a big bite out of my Undead Minotaur! Screenshot 20230827 at 130153 Splinterlands Collect Trade Battle!.png

The second round was even hotter! The opponent immediately lost his Harklaw to poison and lost his archer, but his Usut and Legionnaire Alvar got a bonus to attack and speed, so I quickly lost my first couple of cards. But Undead Rexx went in and completely fulfilled expectations. The double attack gave me an advantage so that in the third round my opponent came in with only one card.

Watch The Battle

Such a battle it turned out to be. I was glad to share my experience and hopefully we will meet on the battlefield!
