Walking works

I’ve seen this thought passed around the internet a lot over the last few months.

Walks changed the way I brainstorm and think a lot during Covid.

It all started when I started working at home. I nor my family were used to having me around all day every day. I was used to working from. The office and being gone from 830 am till 6 or 7 pm. Then Covid hit and we were all sent home.

After a few weeks I realized that I need some peace and calm so I started taking calls on walks. The calls usually ended mid walk and I would have time to myself just to recap and brainstorm. My productivity went up and my creativity about work went through the rough when I spent time brainstorming out on nature. Solutions to problems came quickly. New campaigns came quickly. It was awesome.

Back in the office now but I still try to find some time when I can get out and walk and just think. Always good for me.

What about you?

I have also found that walking with co workers very now and then it a good way to break down walls and build your team.

Short story go on walks. Especially if they are outside.

Thoughts?

Something to be said about getting that blood flowing and what happens to the brain afterward! Also, none of us can be as stupid as we can as a committee in a meeting! ;)

So true! I try to take a 15-minute walk every morning at work. I've read that walking (or other physical activity) gets more blood and oxygen to your brain which helps make your mind more active and think better.
