Marginal Gains

I am reading a book right now that talks about what he calls the rule of marginal gains. I have heard this before I think from James Clear but I loved reading about it again.

It got its fame from the British cycling team who had been mediocre for over 100 year. Enter David Brailsford

Sir David John Brailsford CBE (born 29 February 1964)[1] is a British cycling coach and performance director. He was formerly performance director of British Cycling and is currently team principal of UCI WorldTeam Ineos Grenadiers.[2] He is currently focussing on his work[3] with Nice as part of his role as Ineos - Director of Sport.[4]

He played a huge role in the success of the British cycling team who after he took over won multiple gold medals at the next Olympics.

So what is the idea behind the Marginal gains philosophy?

Take everything that goes into Cycling ( or anything you are doing) and improve those by 1% and then you will see a significant increase in your outcomes. From the different sources I have read today he focused on everything including: weaknesses of the atheletes, mattresses, equipment, washing hands, nutrition, and so on. Get 1% better in ever aspect and see what happens.

This hit home because there is a lot aspects that go into the health of this blockchain. I think if we could all get 1% better at our specific input we would see more growth.

More supporting others.
More learning

I am sure there are 100 other things we could do better.

Looking forward to see where $HIVE is at the end of the year.
