Do you ever shop on Walmart.com?

Today at work we were pitched on walmart.com.

First of all I have never even looked at walmart.com. I have heard the guys at work talk about selling on the walmart marketplace but I have never shopped their. I guess when it comes to online purchases I always go to Amazon.

Amazon owns my loyalty 100%. I think its because I pay for prime and think that I NEED that 2 day shipping LOL.

We we had a meeting with a distribution group that prediction that Walmart will make leaps and bounds with their online marketplace in the next 1-3 years and pass Amazon in the next 2-5 years. Some of the claims and selling points were -

Faster shipping especially in highly populated areas. Claiming that lots of shipments will be same day and as low as 2-4 hours from order.

Lower rates for vendors than Amazon- This one I highly doubt will be true in the long term. They might try to still business from Amazon in the short term but they will charge a pretty penny.

Technology - They did not give great examples here but they kept saying that amazon is going to stick with legacy systems and Walmart is going to rule the game.

We all get pitches all the time at our job but this is one that I have never heard before. Bold claims to make against the big dog.

If true getting started not blitzing the walmart market place will pay diviends in the future.

This whole post just to ask if you ever shop on Walmart.com??

At least in canada they add some dumb handling fees

I’ve never shopped there and I have not shopped on Amazon too
I believe that it will be very expensive and I may not be able to afford it

There is no type of those types of shopping avenue where I stayed though
