Bring some energy to your work!

Me Andy. I have a really good buddy who loves this guy. He listens to every single podcast He puts out and regularly shares them with me. My friend is a pretty successful man himself, and claims that this guy has helped him through some of his roughest times. He’s also the founder of 75 hard. It’s a really intense workout And diet that you follow for 75 days and a lot of people swear that it changed their body and their life.

I have never taken the time to listen to any of his podcasts or watch any of his videos or follow him on Instagram or anything like that. But today he forwarded me one of his emails and I thought it was awesome. Made me really want to focus on my life and bring the energy to bring success to what I’m doing.

Here’s a picture of Andy. And below is the email that he sent today. I’ll share some more thoughts after you read through the email.

How many people do you know who put their entire life on pause when their favorite sports team plays?

They shout...

They cheer...

They clap...

They scream......and they get very emotionally invested in the outcome.

I get it...When I watch the Cardinals, Chiefs or Longhorns play I get excited for it too. But most people will show extreme interest and passion when it comes to the big game on TV...Something that has zero impact on their life and success...But they bring none of the same intensity, interest, drive, or passion into their own life.

That's weird to me.

You must understand that your life is the ultimate game...

One that has winners and losers just like the sports you watch...

...and choosing not to compete or put any passion into the game of life is the same thing as sitting on the sidelines.

If you want to win...Get in the game and get serious.Your life is the only game that matters.

Thoughts? I thought him pointing this out was great for me to visualize myself cheering for my Aggies and Utah jazz. Seriously at times in my life I lived for these basketball games. I do feel like a bring energy to my work but not the type of energy I bring to those b ball games.

Time to step it up I think.

Basketball season is still a long ways off, maybe the Jazz will pull something together this year!

My husband did the 75 hard. He’s had a bit of anxiety over the years and I think it helped him focus on something else for a change. In the end he lost some weight but I think the bigger positive was some improvement in his overall mental health. The 75 days was enough of a boost to create some good new habits.
