6 Things I have stopped buying to simplify my life!

Lets go through 6 things that I have quit buying to simplify my lift and save MONEY.

I started most of these things as money saving items but in the end it has also made my life more boring and more simple and htat is better than the money saving almost.

I want a boring simple life. Stuff frustrates my wife and she had helped me pair down. I still go crazy every now and then but for the most part I keep it simple and have been improving as I have cut stuff out.

  1. Shoes - I had a shoe problem. I finally decided one day that all these shoes looked good but very few of them would I actually wear because they cost so much or they were not comfortable. I sold all my shoes but a couple pair and buy the same black canvas shoes from Lems or a running shoes from Altra and that is all I wear. I wait for Black fRiday and stock up for the year. No more Jordans, No more rare new balance collections. Just the same shoes hopefully for the rest of my life.

  1. Style! I don;t care anymore. I have 7 of the same pair of Prana pants and 5 grey polos and 3 blue under armour polos. I have had all that for 5 years now and have not added to the collection. It easy.

  2. Supplements - I have stopped searching for the magic pill. I just order protein powder and thats it. I eat that for breakfast most mornings. This is a more recent change for me.

  3. Bottles of water/soda. I carry around 1 bottle and avoid picking up water and soda. This is mainly a money saving tip. I have cut out soda since Sept 1. of last year. Its been great.

  4. Razors - I have 1 buzzer and I but my head and face 1 time per week. I have had the same $40 buzzer for 2 years and still runs like a charm. no razors. No shaving cream. No extras.

  5. Subscriptions. This is a work in progress but I am headed in the right direction.

What will I do when they launch LEO subscriptions. Might have to be hypocrite and go up in the subscription world if I want to support some creator on here.

Hoping to add to this list this year. What are you cutting out to make your life better?

Subscription is very expensive and I can’t count how many things I am subscribing to at the moment
I wish to cut them down

Oh wow I wish I had a shoe problem! I love the styles to much but end up buying a pair and wearing them for 5 years it seems. I did just get myself a pair of doc Martens so I am likely good for another 5. ;)

Subscriptions definitely have to be kept an eye on and you have reminded me it is time for my yearly argument with xmradio to cancel or reduce my subscription price.

One thing that has helped me not buy soda water and cut down a beer a night is our soda stream machine. I found a local guy who refills the canisters for $10 and have waste free sparkly water whenever I want at home. Maybe give that a try!

Great to limit spending and gain back some disposable income!

Heheheeh... Great suggestions!!! I had very similar problems, but year by year, I'm getting rid of those stupid habits...

A few days ago bought sneakers from Aldi 😃, a style (3 pants), bottles of water (going to the mountain spring to get free, the most natural water, refilling bottles), razors ( I have a shaver/buzzer for over 10 years and still works as a charm), subscriptions (zero)!

No regrets and saving the planet! 😂

Hello @dkid14 Congratulations on the changes you have started to make in your life. You have taken a radical decision. And usually new radical decisions are permanent in people's lives. I am glad that you are taking firm and decisive steps in this regard. Especially the changes you have made in terms of shoes and the simple styles you have chosen to wear now have also inspired me. I think we put too much importance on unnecessary things. We should be able to keep it simple and the way we want. 😇😇

I actually think I also need to apply this golden advice to my life as it is necessary and will be useful. So much useful beyond I expect
