隱藏在社區的家庭式小火鍋 / A family-style hot pot hidden in the neighborhood

這一家家庭式小火鍋是我在網路上發現的，好像很多追求CP值高的網友，都有提過的好店，但是我一直沒機會嚐試這家，首先是，這家店並不在我常活動的區域，此外，和我較親近的朋友，對它並不感到興趣，直到我游說一位住在這社區的朋友後，我們才有機會嚐試這家店。

這家店，說難找也不難找，但是說好找，連我住在那社區的朋友，其實之前也沒聽過這家店，反正，勇者們打算肉身試試看這家店，其實，我並不悲觀，畢竟，對於這家店，網友們給它的評價，都是CP值高的好店，店家好像兼做社區內的蔬果店，在店門前擺放各種蔬菜水果，價格蠻親民的，有些婦女正在店門前挑選蔬菜，還真的是蠻特別的。

店內蠻乾淨的，空間還蠻大的，不過，不像一般賣小火鍋的店家，它流露出很重的家庭感，鍋子用的是家中平常用的不鏽鋼鍋，用的是普通的電磁爐來加熱火鍋，讓我想起來，學生時代，冬天時，一群同學，在宿舍內，買些火鍋料，然後自己煮火鍋的場景，店家的火鍋料自助吧，該有的都有，各式丸子、魚餃、蛋餃、鵪鶉蛋、魷魚條、時蔬等，就是我印象中，大概十多年前，火鍋店的那些火鍋料，讓我有些懷念，此外，還有各式滷味及甜點、蛋糕。

這樣的一餐居然只要 300元出頭，店家真是佛心來的，難怪，網路上都是一片的CP值高好店的評價，雖然店家的外觀，不怎麼吸引人注意，沒有引人注目的招牌，店內沒有美輪美奐的打卡點，但是，現在的火鍋店，很少會提供整顆蛋，讓顧客調火鍋的沾醬，不過，之前根本是火鍋店的標準，我也很少在小火鍋店，看到店家提供豬肝作為火鍋料，和老闆閒聊時，他還蠻自豪自家食材，都是真材實料，其實，我們也吃得吃出來，希望這樣數十年如一日的好店，能長長久久。

This family-style hot pot place caught my attention online. It seems to be a popular spot among budget-conscious foodies, but I never had the chance to try it since it's not in my usual hangout area. Moreover, my closer friends didn't show much interest in it until I persuaded one friend who lives in that community. That's when we finally got the chance to give it a shot.

Finding the place wasn't too difficult, but it's not exactly well-known even among locals in the area. Nonetheless, we, the brave souls, decided to check it out, and I wasn't pessimistic about it. After all, the online reviews praised it as a great value for money. The shop seems to also function as a local grocery store, displaying various vegetables and fruits at reasonable prices in front of the entrance. It was quite a unique setup, with some women choosing their veggies right at the storefront.

Inside, it's pretty clean, with a decently spacious setting. Unlike typical hot pot joints, it exudes a strong sense of homeliness. They use regular stainless steel pots and simple induction cookers for heating – reminding me of the scenes from my student days when we'd gather in dorms during winter, buying hot pot ingredients and cooking it ourselves. The hot pot ingredients are self-service, with a variety of meatballs, fish dumplings, egg dumplings, quail eggs, squid strips, seasonal vegetables, and more. It's a bit nostalgic, resembling the hot pot places from over a decade ago.

Surprisingly, the whole meal came to just over 300 NTD (New Taiwan Dollar). The pricing is really reasonable, and it's no wonder the online reviews rave about its high value for money. Even though the shop's exterior isn't particularly eye-catching with no attention-grabbing sign, and there are no Instagram-worthy spots inside, they provide a whole egg for customers to prepare their dipping sauce – a rarity in many hot pot places nowadays. Also, it's rare to find places offering pork liver as a hot pot ingredient these days. Chatting with the owner, he takes pride in using quality ingredients. We could taste the authenticity, and I hope this decades-old gem of a place continues to thrive.
