Echoes of Time

In a reality where technology enabled people to step into their past, private detective Ray used this ability to crack unsolved mysteries. By visiting the past of victims, witnesses, even perpetrators, he brought closure to numerous cold cases.

His expertise brought him a peculiar case one day. A woman approached him to investigate the twenty-year-old unsolved murder of her brother. As Ray dived into the case, he found disturbing similarities with a tragedy from his own past—his childhood friend's disappearance, an event that had pushed him towards his current profession.

With growing apprehension, Ray delved deeper. The case took him back into his past, into memories he had carefully locked away. As he navigated his childhood streets, he was forced to confront his guilt, his failure to protect his friend, and the echoes of a childhood lost to tragedy.

The investigation unraveled chilling revelations. Ray discovered that his friend's disappearance was not a random event, but a premeditated act linked to the case at hand. His friend had been an unintended victim of a now-dormant criminal syndicate.

Driven by a renewed purpose, Ray pursued the leads relentlessly, stirring the hornet's nest. He faced threats, a force determined to keep the past buried, but he pressed on, his resolve fuelled by his own echoes of time.

Finally, after an intense confrontation with remnants of the syndicate, Ray managed to solve the mystery. The woman's brother's murder and his friend's disappearance were linked, a grim saga woven in the shadows of the past.

Solving the case brought Ray a sense of closure, a sense of justice he had been seeking since his friend's disappearance. The echoes of time had led him down a painful path, but it had ended in justice, in exposing the truth hidden in the folds of the past.

Ray continued his work as a private detective, his experiences strengthening his resolve. He had faced his past, found his peace, and in the echoes of time, he found his purpose—to seek justice, to solve the unsolvable, to bring closure where time had failed to.
