The Finish Line of 100 Squats Per Day to Fight Cancer Challenge - Thank You Everyone

Finally we arrive at the last day of November 2023, and the last day of 100 Squats per day to fight Cancer Challenge. First of all, I would like to thank you all for reading my posts and giving support to anyone related with this post. Personally I would like to thank @mrmiyagi and @lut-studio who spread this Squat-Cult in this November.

The squat cultist will be disbaned tomorrow however I hope in this short time in Hive, we have atleast helped spreading awareness of this challenge. I hope more people will be aware, either they will send financial support, or just like me taking part in the challenge. I hope everyone have a good time and wish you the best in the future.

Today I breach 100 again, that makes today as the second day I complete this challenge. 2 of 30, less than 10% which it looks very bad however I believe this is not a competition which gaining the most will give you some rewards.

My favorite formula is like this:

  1. 4 x 8 squats every morning after I am awake (32 squats)
  2. 2 x 8 squats in the noon before taking any lunch (16 squats)
  3. 2 x 8 squats on 15:00 during my coffeee break (16 squats)
  4. 5 x 8 squats in the evening, at 19:30 my local time before taking a shower (40 squats)

Same as yesterday, I feel my back get strained and a pain in my waist. Right now I more believe that this is a core muscle problem, the same issue I had years ago. I have weakness in core muscle and arm, I had small forearms and my core was far below average, well that's what my personal trainer told me and he made some exercise course for me... but that's almost a decade ago.

Why not a leg problem? Well I played soccer a lot during my youth and before Covid came, I still did mid distance running regularly. So I haven't got any problem with my leg except for one case which I tore my left plantar muscle and I could not walk for two months.


Preparation For The Next One

Well I see the good things from participating in this challenge, one of them is I get opportunity to identify my body problem. I have three problems, first the most annoying one is balance. But this is more of my health condition, which have improved a bit... day by day. I am not using a walking stick as frequent as before, I even haven't used it anymore when I am at home. But when at work especially on construction yard, yes I still need it.

The second one is flexibility. I feel my movement right now is a lot limited than before. I can not do the toe touch anymore and I just realized this after taking this challenge. It amazes me that the last 3 years without good movement and proper lifestyle has made my body got so stiff.

The last is my core muscle. I think I need to do plank right now, everyday. Training core muscle is simple, just do plank like this one:

However the result can not be instant. You need weeks to feel your core getting stronger. Do not buy what most youtube video says, like 28 days guarantee result. Everyone has their own strength and weakness, if your weakness is the same as me, this might take 2-3 months until we feel our core gets some levels up.

Anyway I found this video on youtube which explain why some people do not improve anymore even they keep doing plank:

Ok that's my next plan after today. Maybe until mid December, I will do some stretching such as mild yoga and do plank exercise every morning and evening. I hope later during Year-End - Christmas Holidy, I could have better movement, better fitness and could take a nice holiday without concerning my health.

What happened?... what health problem did you have!!

I can't do 10 swats a day you did 100 almost a month, I mean 50, 60, 70 and few days exceeded 100!! Bravo!!!

Good!! Good going and appause!!

I wish you all the best, you definitely will improve your flexibility and looking forward in checking those youtube execise videos.

I too strugle with health problems, but for now, I am flexible and agile because I stretch daily, same plank, stretches... I sometimes try pushups, fail mostly.

My core is weak is well, I can't do pushups much... because small arms, small person..shrugs...

But I am not keen in improving my core so much...no time but I would like to make time doing some fun stretches and yoga!! No time...anyway...

a few months ago I could not walk without this stick

even until today, I feel shaky and unsteady while walking. Body balance issue, some suggested me to check my left ear to some professional.

you should do some plank too regularly, it don't have to be everyday.
