• Aunque oler las cosas delante de la gente no es bueno, siempre consigo agarrar el melón en mis manos y olerlo, ya que sé por su sabor dulce y afrutado que el melón es muy bueno para comer.

• También me gusta tocar el melón antes de comprarlo, así que lo cojo con la mano y aprieto la punta con mucho cuidado. Si lo toco suavemente, significa que el melón es dulce, pero si mis dedos se clavan, significa que está demasiado maduro.

• Otra cosa que hago es golpear un poco el melón, porque si suena hueco y vibra un poco lo cojo, porque la fruta está en perfecto estado, en cambio, si suena duro, significa que está verde.

• También compruebo que no tenga abolladuras.

• Otra cosa que también tengo en cuenta si compro melones en mitades, procuro que la pulpa no esté demasiado madura.
