Greetings, human travelers, how are you?

This weekend I had the opportunity to travel to a magical place that I am proud to have visited and the best thing is just 2 hours from the city of Medellín Colombia, with that said we went on a trip, make yourself comfortable.

We left at 9 am towards the southeast Antioqueño on my motorcycle, if we followed this route we would arrive in about 11 hours an hour to the capital of the country Bogota. We stopped at a ranch called Alto de Minas, which is very popular for its gastronomy and flour-based products.
This was our breakfast:

The paved road is full of curves and fog abounds as we must climb the mountain to go down to Santa Barbara (town) where we would find the entrance to our destination.
When you reach this point, the road becomes unpaved and you will have to rely on your skills as a driver since the road is small, full of rocks and dust. It is about 14km and the further you continue going down you will feel the heat since the Cauca River passes nearby. I do not recommend going by car with a low body since you will suffer a lot and the trip will be very long.

It is a very pleasant trip since I love the unpaved road, I think I am on an adventure and while I drive I can enjoy the mountains and see how the people live there.

Something that I liked is that we passed over a bridge where you can see this puddle and the tourists were enjoying the water, curious that even though this place is far below, people go there.

When I got there I was transported back many years when I saw this architecture from 500 years ago. It's like a kind of mini town at the bottom of the mountains.

The church of Sabaletas, as it is called, is beautiful, very indigenous, the floor is like stone and you can see some very old elements apart from the site. What you should know is that it is the second oldest in Colombia and dates back to the 1500s.

Being in such a magical and ancient place is something I will not forget. That's if you're not going to find anything to eat there, maybe mecatos (snacks) or some soft drinks. But if you plan to have breakfast or lunch, I suggest you buy it in the nearest town and pack it so you can enjoy the river, the church and the warmth of my land, Colombia.

If you want to enjoy cold, heat, fresh air, take a dip in the river, religious tourism and a little adventure, coming to this place is mandatory if you pass through Antioquia. The people are very friendly and will tell you a little about what it is like to live there.

Saludos humanos viajeros como están...

Este finde tuve la oportunidad de viajar a un lugar mágico del cual me siento orgulloso de haber visitado y lo mejor a solo 2 horas de la ciudad de Medellín Colombia, dicho esto nos fuimos de viaje, ponte cómodo.

Partimos a las 9 a.m hacia el suroriente Antioqueño en mi moto, esta vía si la siguiéramos llegaríamos en unas 11 horas hora a la capital de país Bogota. Nos detuvimos en un estadero llamado el Alto de Minas es muy apetecido por su gastronomía y sus productos a base de harina.
Este fue nuestro desayuno:

La vía esta pavimentada es llena de curvas y abunda la neblina ya que debemos subir la montaña para bajar hacia Santa Barbara ( pueblo ) donde encontraríamos la entrada hacia nuestro destino.
Al llegar a este punto, la carretera se convierte en destapada y deberás acudir a tus habilidades como conductor ya que la vía es pequeña, llena de rocas y polvo. Son alrededor de unos 14km y entre mas continúes bajando vas a sentir el calor ya que cerca de allí pasa el rio cauca, ah no recomiendo en ir en carro con carrocería baja ya que va a sufrir mucho y el viaje se hará muy largo.

Es un viaje muy agradable ya que amo la carretera destapada, pienso que estoy en una aventura y mientras conduzco puedo disfrutar de las montañas y veo como viven las personas por allí.

Algo que me gusto es que pasamos por un puente donde se ve este charco y los turistas estaban disfrutando del agua, curioso que a pesar de que es bien abajo este lugar las personas vayan allí.

Al llegar allí me transporte mucho años atrás al ver esta arquitectura de hace 500 años. Es como una especie de mini pueblito en el fondo de las montañas

La iglesia de Sabaletas como se llama es preciosa,muy indígena, el piso es como en piedra y se pueden ver algunos elementos muy antiguos aparte del sitio.
Dentro de lo que debes de saber es que la segunda mas antigua de Colombia y radica de los años 1500.

Estar pisando un sitio tan mágico y tan antiguo es algo que no voy a olvidar. Eso si allí no vas a encontrar que comer, quizás mecatos ( snacks) o algún refresco . Pero si piensas desayunar o almorzar te sugiero que lo compres en el pueblo mas cercano y lo empaques para que disfrutes del rio, la iglesia y el calorcito de mi tierra Colombia.

Si quieres disfrutar de frio, calor, aire puro ,zambullirte el rio, un turismo religioso y un poco de aventura venir a este sitio es obligatorio si pasas por Antioquia. Las personas son muy amables y te irán a contando un poco de que como es vivir allí.
