Government

The most prominent layers of Acehnese society can be grouped into two groups, namely the Umara group and the Ulama group. Umara can be interpreted as a government or government implementing official in a territorial unit. for example, the position of Sultan, who is the leader or highest official in the royal government unit. Meanwhile, the group of Ulama who are leaders in charge of religious matters are known as religious leaders or belong to the religious elite group.

Because these Ulama deal with religious matters, they must be knowledgeable, which in Acehnese terms is called ureung nyang malem. Thus, of course, it is in accordance with the predicate or title of Ulama itself, which means experts in science or experts in knowledge
