Splinterlands - Brawls are Fun and Rewarding

I really love battling in the Brawls. I learn something each time I participate. Also, I don't mind receiving the Merits and Staked SPS either.

Perfect Six

This week I was very lucky with my battles. I had six matches and was luckily able to win four of them. I won the other two by default because my opponent fled. But in the Brawls a win is still a win and counts toward the rewards that are given out when the Brawl is completed.

I used my Lux Vega Summoner which provides a +1 Life over the summoner my opponent used.

We also used several of the same cards however I did add a Gladiator card to my lineup - Edith Emberstar which has a 4 Ranged attack. I was a little disappointed that it missed several times but the good news is that the match still ended in my favor.

Gladiator Cards

Gladiator card packs can be purchased with the merits that are earned from participating in Brawls. This is the only way to get these cards as they are soul bound to your account. Once you get some of these Gladiator cards they can be used with the new Soul Bound Reward Cards.

This is an additional benefit of participating in Brawls.

SPS Brawl Rewards

Another benefit is the earning of staked SPS. Earning SPS is very important now that the rewards you earn for ranked matches is based on the amount of SPS you have staked on your account. The more you have staked the higher your rewards when you when a ranked battle.

Not only are your SPS rewards higher, you will also earn a higher amount of focus points for both the daily focus and Season. This will result in more chests being received each day and season just because you have participated in your Guild's Brawl.

Index Squad Guild Members

Our guild has a total of 14 Guild members:

This past Brawl only four of these members fully participated and received 231 Merits and 5.318 SPS rewards. The Guild was able to get sixth place with just these four members participating.

As you can see in the messages on the right side of the below screenshot, a Brawl occurs about every 5 days, and the guild members have earned a total of 19.452 SPS since the beginning of July. Not bad since this is helping each one of our earnings in other areas of the game.

Just think if we were able to have double this number of participation. Another Brawl will be starting tomorrow.

SPS Player Staking

Coming soon, SPS Player staking will be implemented. At that point in time, Guild members will be able to stake their SPS on other Guild members. I believe I read that when the SPS Player Staking is implemented, the Staked SPS rewards will be ended so you will need to stake your SPS on other players to be able to earn the amount you are currently earning for having staked SPS.
