dCity - Working Toward Ranking Rewards

I am working to optimize the building of my own City using the city simulator game - dCity.

When you are running a city, you need it to make a profit from all of the various buildings, citizens, etc that you have put together. There are so many different ways to approach accomplishing putting together a successful city that no two players will make the same decisions or build at the same speed but that does not mean that the decisions each player is making is right or wrong just that it will have a different result.

Ranked Rewards

One of the ways a city is successful is by receiving ranked rewards. Every player can cast their vote regarding how the pool of ranked rewards will be split between the five categories in which players are ranked. The Top 400 Players in each of the categories receive a prorated potion of each categories share of the pool.

Currently the pool for "Ranking Rewards" have the following distribution:

• INCOME 52.88%
• POPULATION 10.51%
• POPULARITY 12.41%
• EDUCATION 17.26%
• CREATIVITY 6.93%

Since I have not been playing and building my city for very long, my ranking in those five categories is not very high.

• INCOME: Ranked 480 with 8 SIM
• POPULATION: Ranked 1547 with 70 Population
• POPULARITY: Ranked 1338 with 64 Popularity
• EDUCATION: Ranked 1448 with 1 Education
• CREATIVITY: Ranked 1200 with 7 Creativity

My highest rank is in INCOME with a ranking of 480. To break into the top 400 and receive a share of the pool I will need to increase my daily SIM income to 15 SIM or more. That would be an increase in my daily income of almost 50%. I will not be able to accomplish that all in one week but I will set a goal to reach a daily SIM income of 15 by the end of June.

All of the other categories I am not even close to the top 400 so those will take a lot longer to even increase my ranking in those areas.

SIM Holding Rewards

Another way a city is successful is by holding the SIM token. This reward is more regarding the amount of SIM that you are holdings compared to everyone else instead of a ranking against everyone else.

By having SIM Power greater than 8,000 or greater makes you eligible for a share of the Daily Pool. The pool is currently 135.775 Hive. By having a greater SIM power, your share of the pool will increase.

SIM power is a 30 day average of the quantity of SIM that you hold in your account.

My current SIM Power is 11,360.07 so I get a very small portion of the pool equal to 0.003 Hive per day.

LP SIM Counts toward SIM Power

However, I noticed that the amount I am holding is only 10,772.237 SIM so I started researching how my SIM Power was greater than my holding over a 30 day time period.

The only explanation that I could come up with is that the amount of SIM I am also holding in the Liquidity Pool is being counted toward my SIM Power.

I have right at 1,000 SIM in the Swap.Hive:SIM liquidity pool.

SIM POWER APR

Based on the APR shared in the memo field of each SIM holding rewards payout, I am receiving slightly over 32% APR. The APR appears to be decreasing but I think that is just due to the calculation of my SIM Power increasing and the amount of liquid hive staying at 0.003 Hive.

I will be working to add SIM to my holdings on a weekly basis so that I can increase the amount of daily Hive received. I believe that an APR over 30% is a very good return compared to lots of other projects that are available for investments.
