Harmattan encroaching and Possible says to tackle it (I.A.A.C #329)

Hello and welcome to my page hiveans. I'm @daniky, and this is day 329 of my entry to #IAmAliveChallenge, an initiative by Eric Gustafsson, @flaxz.

Life is a gift of nature God has bestowed on us that we must appreciate daily. I'm grateful for the gift of life despite the situation of things around the world. One is alive and thriving.

My day was awesome, while the weather was hot as usual. The sun's intensity was higher than how it was yesterday. Rainfall was expected on the norms, but that never occurred. Then it dawned on me that it's gradually approaching the harmattan season, where we faced intense droughts in Nigeria with no rainfall. This normally occurs within the month of November till April, while November is best known as an harvest month.

The harmattan or drought season is the season many people fear so much. Green plants and flowers suddenly dries up, shedding off their leaves, while the ground becomes harder, making it difficult for farmers to cultivate them for agricultural produce. Many plants stop growing and dry up during the harmattan season while most shallow wells become dried with no water in them, too, except for a few wells with greater depth. In rural settlement, many will prefer to go to nearby streams to fetch water, wash their clothes, or bathe. Even some urban areas are affected by this situation as well.

The cost of food produces goes geometrically higher than what it has always been, and whatever makes it go up, it hardly comes down again. With the current exorbitant pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), many average citizens might not be able to cope with the cost of goods and services. Nigeria is still a developing country, and this makes it cumbersome for many of her citizens to have the financial power to acquire some basic needs.

No matter how the situation could be at the moment, lets just be optimistic and keep praying for things to be better than how they. Never lose hope or give up where ever you find yourself. Ensure you acknowledge God first in whatever you do and treat others in a fair way. Never rely on your strength or ability to make it great in life, but make God the pillar of your strength and keep moving forward.

Many people suffered from the past harmattan. The harshness of the weather was nothing to reckon with. Many people's hands and legs were dried and white due to this harshness, and one needs to use more and more creams to maintain hydration.
