So, we've made it to May 1st, and it's the big day of the formal launch of the new LeoFinance user interface!

We've certainly had a lot of waiting, and heard a lot of cheering and hopeful chatter, and now I guess we can say that a form of microblogging has come to Hive, in earnest.

Undoubtedly, this will be a very cool thing for a lot of people!

That said, perhaps the far bigger and potentially more important question becomes that of whether or not we can get people outside the Hive ecosystem to care. Without a doubt, all those in the "inner circles" of LeoFinance and Hive are gung-ho about this new direction... but will it actually be any easier to sell this cat than various previous incarnations of our community?

I'd like to think that it will, and that people will take the "recruitment challenges" seriously and view them as an opportunity to do something outside just serving their own interests.

Sadly ironic that the price of the LEO token dipped below $0.03 yesterday, for the first time in I don't remember how long.

Not for a moment suggesting the two are connected, just pointing to the irony of it.

I suppose I have always been "Devil's Advocate," even on projects I really believe in, including this one. I figure that if nobody's willing to point out the potential cracks in the foundation of something such issues may never be addressed... and then suddenly everything crumbles.

I really want for this project to do well... not just because I like this community, but also because it would be nice to see my stake finally pay off!
