Today i will share a recipe stir fried torae.This stir-fried torae( ridge gourd) curry recipe offers a delightful twist to your regular curry routine. This dish is not only delicious but also incredibly easy to prepare. Let's get started with the recipe.
Ingredients:
๐ช 1/2 kg medium-sized torae (ridge gourds)
๐ช 1 onion, ๐ง chopped
๐ช 1 Tomato ๐
๐ช 4 cloves of garlic ๐ง minced
๐ช 3 green chili, finely chopped (adjust according to your spice preference)
๐ช 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
๐ช Salt to taste
๐ช 2 tablespoons oil
๐ช Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
๐Method of Preparation
๐ First, wash the torae, peel it, and then cut it into thin, round slices.
๐ Then Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
๐ Add minced garlic and chopped green chili and chopped onions and saute until they turn translucent.
๐ Add thinly sliced torae to the pan. Stir to coat them evenly with the spice mixture.
๐ Now, add chopped tomatoes ,salt and mix well.
๐ Cover the pan and cook on low heat for about 8-10 minutes, or until the ridge gourd is tender but still retains its shape. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
๐ Once the torae is cooked, remove the lid and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to let any excess moisture evaporate.
๐ Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
Serve hot with roti, paratha and dal rice.
