Firni (Rice Pudding) : A Sweet Sensation

How are you all? I hope you are happy and healthy. Today I am going to share with you a traditional Indian dessert recipe - Firni. This is a delicious dessert that is made with love in every home. It has a creamy texture and sweetness that will make your mouth water. Its ingredients are common and it's also easy to make. So let's get started and learn how to make this delicious Firni!

Ingredients:
🪽 1/2 cup rice (soaked for 30 minutes)
🪽2 liters full cream milk
🪽1 cup sugar
🪽4-5 green cardamoms (crushed)
🪽 Almonds and pistachios (chopped, for garnish)
🪽 Kewra water
🪽 Saffron

Method:
🌈 First, soak the rice in water for 30 minutes. Drain the soaked rice well and let it air dry.

🌈 In a blender, grind the dried rice into a smooth powder.

🌈 Heat ghee in a pan and add crushed cardamoms to it.

🌈Add milk to the pan and let it simmer over low heat.Add Saffron and mix well.

🌈 Add sugar to the milk and mix well until it dissolves.

🌈 Now, add the rice powder to the milk and mix well. Ensure no lumps are formed.

🌈 Keep stirring continuously over low heat until the milk thickens slightly. Then add the dry fruits.

🌈 Once the Firni reaches a slightly thick consistency and the rice is cooked, turn off the heat and add kewra water. Set the mixture aside to cool.
🌈 Once the Firni has cooled down, refrigerate it for 2-3 hours until chilled Serve the chilled Firni in serving bowls and sprinkle chopped almonds and tutti frutty on top.

🌈 Refrigerate the Firni a little more before serving to make it extra cool.
