The Hypocrisy Behind the "Energy Transition"
I have been hearing the same litany over and over for years: we urgently need to transition from fossil fuels to renewable energies. Supposedly, it is the only way to avoid a biblical climate and ecological disaster.
We are saturated with a narrative that paints a bleak and apocalyptic future if we do not immediately stop relying on oil, natural gas and coal. We are constantly bombarded with terrifying scenarios of heat waves, droughts, hurricanes, mass extinction of species, among other disasters, if we do not act now to drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Global organizations, world leaders, billionaire financiers, environmental activists and the media have been strongly pressing countries and companies to accelerate the energy transition. They demand reaching net zero emissions as soon as possible, completely eliminating hydrocarbons from the energy matrix and replacing them mainly with solar and wind power.
However, despite years of increasing alarmism and guilty rhetoric about our carbon footprint, the data from the global energy market makes me very skeptical about the real viability of this famous "energy transition."
While politicians attend major summits and conferences to announce new and ambitious emissions reduction goals and the oil companies tout sustainability and their commitment to clean energies, the truth is that the lucrative hydrocarbon business continues more thriving and vigorous than ever...
Clearly, not all relevant players are making the sacrifices that would be expected given the declaration of a global climate emergency. While the ordinary citizen is constantly demanded to tolerate the increase of environmental taxes, stop eating meat, not travel by plane and limit their energy consumption, the truth is that companies like ExxonMobil and Shell have seen their accounts and profits grow fabulously.
Ultimately, the enormous hypocrisy behind the rhetoric of the famous "energy transition" is exposed. What I observe are double standards, flagrant abuses of power and economic consortia actively defending their interests, at the expense of the well-being and quality of life of ordinary people.
It is time to start confronting and questioning the real validity of the global agendas that we are meant to impose in the name of "sustainability." We have a responsibility to critically examine whether behind this noble green facade even more sinister goals of social, political and economic control are hidden.
The evidence suggests that under the epic of saving the planet, a huge vehicle for the consolidation of power and influence at the global level by an elite is actually brewing. We must not allow the legitimate environmental concerns of citizens to be abused to advance these globalist projects. The time has come to speak up and defend our welfare and fundamental freedoms.
