Gold Foil Card Bargains and are there Land Bargains Yet?!?

Scoured the Marketplace to Find You Deals, You're Welcome.

None of this article is financial/investment/legal advice, it contains a strategic valuation analysis of speculative assets that can be subject to market fluctuations. You are suggested to seek out a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) for all investments and the author is not an RIA. Splinterlands' Terms of Service identifies Splinterlands/Steem Monsters as not being an Investment Company. As defined by the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations, Steem Monsters (the parent company of Splinterlands) and the Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) that was published by Steem Monsters can be argued to rise to the definition of being classified as Financial Institutions in the United States. This is a duty to warn and inform given that the actions to be described regard the valuation of assets and speculation of events to take place.

Let's get straight to it. Here are your Gold Foil card deals that will catch your attention.

1. Mycelic Slipspawn

The Gold Foil Mycelic Slipspawn has hit All-Time Lows at $1.697, but it is available on a per card basis at $1.698.

The $1.80 to $2 consolidation zone is the next point of resistance for Mycelic Slipspawn if it is going to rise up.

2. Xenith Monk

The Gold Foil Xenith Monk, for those who are in Bronze, comes out the gate with the Self Healing ability. It is available for $2 per card now, which is an All-Time Low price. It's sort of amazing how players can just build a Gold Foil Chaos Legion deck so cheaply now compared to 2-3 months ago or at least have a base of cards to flip.

Xenith Monk has to reach $2.37-$2.62 to find itself in a resistance zone and then there is room to run upwards in price to $3.53 when it encounters another resistance zone.

3. Thaddius Brood

This summoner hit All-Time Lows today and it is still available at relatively cheap price of $5.599.

The next major resistance area is $6.50-$7. This has been a strong resistance area as of late.

Didn't you say something about LAND BARGAINS?

Land is still tough to gauge, but...

CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING

image.png

An unclaimed, unsurveyed, tokenized PLOT of Land is $125.79 on Hive Engine. If claimed and surveyed, it would be in Shimmering Coasts and it would have a 75% chance of being a Common plot.

image.png

Without the Building in a Box or Unstable Totem, the Common plot in Shimmering Coasts is being sold for $46. It would have a 9.4% chance of being a Common plot that is Magical, which is going for $160.

image.png

From a weighted average perspective, taking into account the market values and the odds of each type of plot that one could get upon surveying. The expected value of an unclaimed/unsurveyed plot (throughout Praetoria without respect for the land type) is $144.14. This is higher than the unclaimed, tokenized price that is on Hive Engine. It is also higher than the lowest price available for an unsurveyed plot, which is $100.

image.png

What can one get with $100 in the Land market? How about $125.79? Or how about $144.14?

For $100, one can get a Rare plot that is "ready to go" with both a Building in a Box and an Unstable Totem.

image.png

For $125.79, one can get a pair of "ready to go" Common plots.

image.png

For $144.14, one can get 3 common plots with a Building in a Box.

image.png

Where it gets most interesting is when we look at the Magical Common plots and compare them to the Natural Epic plots.

The odds of getting a Magical Common plot is nearly 3 times higher than getting an Natural Epic plot.

image.png

But the pricing tells a different story entirely.

image.png

image.png

Then there's the matter of land production, where a Natural Epic gets only a 40% boost in production. A Magical Common gets a 100% boost in production.

It gets more interesting when we compare Magical Rare land and Common Occupied land. The odds of getting each is nearly equal.

image.png

image.png

The prices are not, but the land production matter gives the Magical Rare plot of land a 10% edge in production over the Occupied Common plot of land. There's a $110 difference between the two here.

Of course, there's no Building in a Box to provide a head start, which means that these plots need more time to get rolling.

It's probably best to remain patient, even though there are some prices that may look good. There was a time when Common plots were $75 and now they are down to $40.

However, the best deals at this moment might be these:

However, your needs may vary and the cards you have may alter your decision-making as you seek out yield for your land investment.
