Walking through the Museum of Culture in Valencia, Carabobo state, I found this work of art painted by Arturo Michelena, I felt such a great privilege, I always saw this canvas in textbooks, but I never thought I could see it in front of me.

Incredible to be feeling with my own eyes a work that dates back to 1896, it was lent to Carabobo until December 2nd, as it is part of a tribute that is being made to the great painter Arturo Michelena.

I was accompanied by my daughter, my mother, my sister and my nephews, to whom we told them how important this hero was in the Independence of Venezuela, as well as the story of how he brought the flag of Venezuela and was exhibited for the first time in the state of Falcon.

I wanted to share a moment like this, because it is part of the history of my country, besides the emotion was not only mine.

There are more than 205 years of history and I stumbled upon this great work for satisfaction and cultural enrichment.

Paseando por el Museo de la Cultura en Valencia estado Carabobo me encontré con esta obra de Arte que pinto Arturo Michelena, sentí un privilegio tan grande, siempre ví este lienzo en libros de textos, pero jamás pensé poder verla frente a frente.

Increíble estar palpando con mis propios ojos una obra que se remonta a los 1896, la prestaron a Carabobo hasta el 02 de Diciembre, ya que forma parte de un homenaje que le están haciendo al gran pintor Arturo Michelena.

Fui acompañada por mi hija, mi madre, mi hermana y mis sobrinos, a los cuales les comentamos lo importante que fue este procer en la Independencia de Venezuela, así como la historia de como trajo la bandera de Venezuela y se exhibió por primera vez en el estado Falcón.

Quise compartir un momento como este, porque forma parte de la historia de mi país, además la emoción no fue solo mía.

Son más de 205 años de historia y me tropecé con esta gran obra para mi satisfacción y enriquecimiento cultural.
