I always imagined that day would come and it seems that it is coming as soon as possible. We know very well that physical money in the future will not be as useful as it is today, and perhaps it should not even exist anymore. The advancement of blockchain technology for all public and private sectors will be the future.

A G20 meeting is scheduled for October and one of the themes is the implementation of national digital currencies. The curious thing is that this decision is not recent and this theme has existed since mid-2017.

Brazil is one of the countries that is part of the G20 summit and research and debates are already taking place for the implementation and possible replacement of printed money as we know it. Each country will be represented by finance ministers and central banks.

For us enthusiasts, this is great news and it is normal for the nations involved to worry about how countries will deal with the economy with this new technology. The Central Bank's Digital Currency (CBDC) is already at an advanced stage in two countries, Japan and China. If you want to check about Japan I made a post talking about.

But as we know, not everything is good and the possibility of using the CBDC for illegal purposes such as money laundering and terrorist financing will be issues that will be on the agenda at this meeting. These are one of the problems that we have had with crypts for a while now, as the bandits take advantage of the capabilities of digital currencies to track their tracks.

We can also mention some benefits such as the reduction of bank robberies and the speed of transactions for example. It is clear that nations already know that sooner or later, the use of "CBDC" digital currencies will become a reality and the end of what we know today as money, is certain to happen.

This is just a matter of time to be able to use a national o international complete digital currency, but something that will be true as well is that it will certainly will be centralized as well.

So the only difference we could be seeing is that there will not be cash, but I personally think that will take a while, since many countries have their citizens nor used to be using debit card or any digital transaction.

It will be interesting to know what the have to propose for the new digital economy

True, it will be a challenge for people, especially older people to understand this change. But I believe that in general we will adapt. I look forward to experiencing all of this.

I wonder if they seriously consider it as plan B, after the fiat currency collapse. @tipu curate :)

It is very likely to be considered, since it has been on the agenda for years on the end of fiat currency.

Thanks for the curation.

Personally, i would want us to see the end of money and the full adoption of crypto. However, the centralised system of the real world isn't something that interests me. Their full involvement might cause more damage than good. However, if we can have more businesses (both SMEs and Large enterprise) intergrates crypto payment API like that of Changenow NowPayments into their system, it will go a long way.

Great article coyotelation

You are right, centralization can be a problem, but in the future we may have even more alternatives so that mass membership can be a reality for people.

Thank you for contributing to this post. I will research more about Changenow.
