Changing strategy to increase my earnings in Splinterlands

I confess that I am very excited about my return to playing Splinterlands. I was also very surprised by the quantity and complexity of the game's mechanics, however "complicated" it may seem, it doesn't faze me and on the contrary, I feel encouraged to learn more.

What is Splinterlands?

For readers who don't know yet, Splinterlands is a digital collectible card game based on Hive blockchain technology. As it is an NFT card game, battles are one-on-one where each player uses their deck to win, each card can contain specific abilities and this makes each match more exciting. For anyone who has watched Yu-Gi-Oh! or simply played Magic the Gathering you should understand a little of what I'm saying.

The proposal, like any Play2earn game, is for you to build a passive income at the same time as you are playing. This is even a dream for any game lover when at the same time having fun, you can make interesting profits. As an experience of my own, when the financial crisis hit me years ago, many cards in my collection helped me a lot, so it's really worth it, in addition to playing, to collect valuable cards.

My nostalgic moment

I only played Wild League battles, I didn't prefer to play the more modern mode of battles, as I had a lot of Beta and Untamed cards, but when I returned recently, I noticed that the gains have changed, instead of gaining DEC, now it's SPS (Splintershards ) and thus became the game's main currency.

After selling some Land plots, I bought some cards again that I knew would help me grow quickly and reach the Silver league. I didn't buy all the decks because I don't have the money to do so, especially since I have other focuses such as increasing my participation in LEO, increasing my HP and stacking SPS.

The SPS was something that earned very little, I could barely move up from one league to another, it was difficult to collect points to get at least the daily chests and I needed to research more to understand the new mechanics of the game and that was when I read a post from our friend @r1s2g3, which if you want, you can read here, I realized that my strategy in Buying those excellent cards from the Beta and Untamed format would not give me a good SPS gain in the short term.

That's when I decided to change and finally start the Modern format battles. Fortunately I already had some Summoners and one of them was at lv 4 which is THADDIUS BROOD. So, when I move up to the Silver league I will be able to match my opponents a little. Basically my Death deck was the most prepared for me in the Modern format so I decided I should buy more Chaos and Rebellion cards.

SPS and its advantages

In the first battles in the new format I already noticed a big difference, the SPS gains really are greater and what is received in the Bronze league was greater when I was playing in the Wild format. However, something was missing to maximize these gains and it was precisely the SPS itself.

What really caught my attention is the participation of SPS, as we already know it is the main currency of the game and stacking SPS brings you benefits and I can name a few:

SPS staked

the more SPS staked, the higher your Reward Points will be;
passive income in SPS;
passive income on VOUCHER;
Boost changes.

New focus

Now more than ever, I must increase my stake in SPS, at first glance I don't intend to be so aggressive in increasing it quickly, I believe that by playing I can reach interesting levels, but I intend to reach 2k SPS staked in the medium term. I think my goals are currently HIVE, LEO, and SPS.

Having three fronts is a good thing for me, as this way my focus is more concentrated on these three objectives. So I know that changing battle formats to Modern and also buying more Rebellion and Chaos cards will allow me to help myself on this journey.

Por se tratar de um game de cartas NFT, as batalhas são de um contra um onde cada jogador utiliza seu deck para vencer, cada carta pode conter habilidades específicas e isso deia cada partida mais emocionante. Para quem já assistiu Yu-Gi-Oh! ou simplesmente já jogou Magic the Gathering deve entender um pouco do que estou dizendo.

A proposta como qualquer jogo Play2earn é de você construir uma renda passiva ao mesmo tempo quanndo está jogando. Isso é até um sonho para qualquer amante de jogos quando ao mesmo tempo está se divertindo, pode obter lucros interessantes. Contanto como uma experiência própria, quando a crise financeira apertou para mim anos atrás, muitas cartas da minha coleção me ajudaram muito, então vale muito a pena além de jogar, colecionar cartas valiosas.

Meu momento nostálgico

Eu jogava apenas as batalhas da Wild League, não preferia jogar o modo mais moderno das batalhas, pois tinha bastante cartas Beta e Untamed, mas quando voltei recentemente, percebi que os ganhos mudaram, ao invés de ganhar DEC, agora é o SPS (Splintershards) e assim se tornou a moeda principal do jogo.

Após vender alguns plots da Land, comprei novamente algumas cartas que eu sabia que me ajudaria a crescer rapidamente a chegar na Silver league. Não comprei todos os decks até porque não tenho dinheiro para isso, ainda mais que tenho outros focos como aumentar minha participação em LEO, aumentar meu HP e empilhar SPS.

Justamente o SPS era algo que ganhava muito pouco, mal conseguia subir de uma league para outra, era difícil juntar pontos para conseguir ao menos os baús diários e precisava pesquisar mais para entender a nova mecânica do jogo e foi quando eu li um post do nosso amigo @r1s2g3, que se você quiser, pode ler aqui, percebi que minha estratégia em comprar aquelas cartas excelentes do formato Beta e Untamed não me fariam a curto prazo um bom ganho de SPS.

Foi quando eu decidi mudar e finalmente começar as batalhas do fomato Modern. Felizmente eu já tinha alguns Summoners e um deles estava no lv 4 que é o THADDIUS BROOD. Assim, quando subir para a Silver league eu já poderei que equiparar um pouco com meus adversários. Basicamente meu deck Morte era o mais preparado para mim no formato Modern então decidi que deveria comprar mais cartas Chaos e Rebellion.

SPS e suas vantagens

Nas primeiras batalhas no novo formato eu já percebia uma grande diferença, os ganhos de SPS realmente são maiores e o que é recebido na Bronze league era maior quando eu estava jogando no formato Wild. Mas, faltava algo para maximizar esses ganhos e era justamente o próprio SPS.

O que me chamou muito minha atenção é a participação de SPS, como já sabemos é a moeda principal do jogo e empilhar SPS te traz benefícios e posso citar alguns:

SPS staked

quanto mais SPS em stake, maior sera seu Reward Points;
renda passiva em SPS;
renda passiva em VOUCHER;
Boost change.

Novo foco

Agora mais do que nunca, devo aumentar minha participação em SPS, de primeira vista não pretendo ser tão agressivo em aumentar rapidamente, acredito que jogando eu posso conseguir chegar a patamares interessantes mas, pretendo chegar no médio prazo em 2k SPS staked. Acho que atualmente meus objetivos são HIVE, LEO e SPS.

Ter três frentes é algo bom para mim, pois assim meu foco fica mais concentrado nesses três objetivos. Portanto sei que ao mudar de formato de batalha para o Modern e também comprar mais cartas Rebellion e Chaos, me permitirão me ajudar nessa jornada.
